He made too many mistakes, that is the bottom line. Any crap about McLaren costing him is simply not true
For every driving mistake he made, he made another by never ever standing up to his team.

Just once this year, had he stood up, this outcome wouldn't be happening.

But he didnt.

Got a sad feeling they will favour Lando next year as well.

Of course they will but in reality next year is a holding year for Oscar until Webber can work out who the 2nd best car is under the new regs and who to move him to. We will have to be patient but hes good enough and will win one in the right team (it just wont be mclaren).

We all say Lando bottles it, but the history books will show a choke by Oscar, no two ways about it.

Leading the WDC with 6 races to go, daylight to third, yet ends up not winning, nor coming second.

Nice guys finish not first (or second).
Lando probably should have won. He's been an F1 driver since 2017. This is only Oscar's third year.

I think RB is the story of the year; to turn it around from the mess of the Horner sacking and an uncompetitive car to come home with the wettest of sails has been awesome

As for Oscar, his time will come

Probably because there aren't viable options out there at the moment.

None where he can go and drive in a title competing car whilst being the no 1 driver .

Car was clearly tampered with.

Looked like the best driver on the grid for 3/4 of the season, had a down patch that let Lando back in, then “found form” when he was out of the title race.

Thats too convenient for me.

Nah it meant nothing - without those two points McLaren would have just swapped Lando and Oscar at the end.

Yes but it would have pushed Norris harder at the start to not give 2nd up which may have forced an error.

God I hope we boo the living shit out of Zak and Lando when they come to Melbourne next year .

I know that is poor form and crass , but seeing a fellow Melburnian getting shafted in the manner he has doesn't sit well with me.
100%. I know I'd be going 'til I lose my voice.

What exactly did you want him to do, how does he stand up to his team?

He voiced his displeasure in Singapore and what did it get him?

RBR isnt because the team is built around max unless he leaves.

The reality is Aston and other teams might take massive steps forward under the new regs but we wont know for 12-18 months who the best cars after McLaren are which is why Oscar has to wait until theres no data then move.

Sore loser mentality, we should be better than this.
