Quite a few of the first choice XI injured, and need to trial a few fringe players as only one more window before the World Cup. Not sure why no Hrustic or Robertson though

Overall I'm ok with the draw. It's not a horror draw like we copped in 2014 with Netherlands, Spain & Chile. The expanded format basically go rid of groups of death.

Our nature is to punch above our weight so like any world cup I go in with a belief that we'll be a better side in the tournament than we show through qualifying.

We've only won 4 group games and never a knockout game so big success is just winning games and making knockout progress

Its never good to draw the host nation in the group stage when they have the crowd on their side and the advantage of knowing the conditions. South American teams in a World Cup are never to be underestimated Paraguay is no exception. and a European side most liked Turkey or Slovakia both solid European nations. safe to say its not as easy as we all may think. having said that three teams in most groups will get through to the knockout stages so as long as we don't cop a lot of goals and can manage at least one win and a draw we should be alright to go through.

No group would be easy for us, but its definetely better than it could have been and on paper at least its a lot friendlier than some of our previous groups.

I think the reaction to the Americans reaction is a bit of an overreaction.

They are not carrying on like they think they are going to win the whole thing because of this group.

Like us it's a much better group than what could have been.

and FYI, a round of 32 for a World Cup is ridiculous.

Here is a video on Christian Volpato... big question they asked in regards to playing for Australia. He got a call a month a go..
My take from it.. He prefer option is playing for Italy, but if he can't get a game for them he eventually will choose Australia.
His not going to get a game for Italy anytime soon
