I wouldn't say he's unbiased. He clearly has an interest in keeping the draft and trade system as "complicated" as it is now.

Sure, given he has Gettable which kinda needs the player acquisition period to be complicated enough to be able to talk about during the H&A season, but I think academy and F/S tied players help that. At the very least, us (and every other club) continuing to have access to players they should helps Cal Twomey, but it doesn’t help any one club more than any other.

Yep he does what they all should do - puts his feelings for his own club off to one side when doing his job.

I think the allure of playing under Dad and with the two brothers is hard to begrudge him returning to North. He will want Dad to succeed, Dad will want his son to play Leauge footy, he was only going to be a top up play at Port with AFL blokes and Marquee signings taking priority in the first 21.

You can’t keep them all and there is nothing to say, if he has a good year or two, with Tassie coming in he doesn’t get a later crack at it. I think this is important not to forget, these fringe blokes know there is an opportunity to make that Tassie team if they can play some good, state level footy, a so/so chance at one of the AFL clubs Reserves teams may not appeal for the next few seasons.

We may rate him, we would have a good grasp on his character. We may rate him, but no better than anyone else we drafted this year…

We had him on our list, so there’s something there. His injury saw him not even playing a game to show what he’s got. Our system most likely extract the most from him. Ah well.
