Jesus, it’s like Dempseys biceps are about to explode like a bomb or something
Ollie has built up incredibly from the body shape he held when he started with us. His amazing rise appears set to continue.

And it's really fantastic to see Harley out on the track. Doesn't need to be rushed at all, but it must spur him on when he can get out on the paddock with the boys when the opportunity arises.

So many people have written him off, they don’t understand the knock in effect he causes

I'm a fan at his best and it is potentially one way of the team improving next year, at the very least it would give us more flexibility in what we do with Blitz and SDK, but missing an entire year when the wrong side of 30 gets very concerning especially after the Cuthrie saga over the last few years.

I never held out much hope for Cuthrie from the time he chose ballet for his rehabbing I'm betting Kolo hasn't gone that path,we missed him down back hope he can regain good touch.
Plenty of AFL players have used techniques such as ballet to assist in the recovery and strengthening of lower leg issues

When did he do his ACL ?

Lots of love for him here. Really hope to see him back in the team and back to his best form. He's a real asset.

He is but I wouldn't be surprised to see him out most of the year like bews has been. The only thing that may keep him in is structure for an extra tall as sdk will be rucking most of the year. But if we are trying to push youth through guys like him and to a lesser extent oconnor are the obvious ones to make way.

We need ideally another 200cm+ key defender to introduce to the side. The shorter kolo defenders are not the way forward with the new wave of monster ruck height key forwards emerging who are more like basketballers than footy players

Probably not ideal really. I can’t imagine it was anywhere near the level of an AFL player
Who knows.
But the training and especially the farmhand stuff would have been great for his mental health.

You'd have to suspect he spent a lot of time with psychologists and councillors.
And I tell you what, you forget about the outside world when you're working on farms / vineyards.

Good points. Poor lad his been through enough to ruin someone psychologically for life. Have to feel for him. Needs to be well looked after by the club and even supporters

List analysis..

geelong.jpg

AFL Draft: 22 (equal 14th most)
Trade: 7 (equal ninth most)
Free agency: 3 (equal most)
Rookie Draft/Cat B rookies: 12 (most)
Pre-Season Draft/SSP: 0 (equal 17th most)
Mid-Season Draft: 0 (equal 16th most)

And people want to carry on and hang crap on Chris Scott.. but there is no other coach this century who could take that recruitment profile to a grand final day.

And for all the garbage about “ free farms” for god sakes we are 9th out of 18 for most trades! We are literally average as it gets for conducting trades.

What I like about that best is the rookie draft/ cat b rookies. Is a testament do the fantastic talent identification and player development that we have. Next most on that metric is the Swans, another team that has perennially been able to compete, which underlines how important this facet of the game is
