We love high half forwards that can run all day. A key strength to our team.
Feel we will see him multiple times across 2026. Especially if MacDonald takes to midfield.
Physically (for high half forward) he's ready. Everything about his character and professionalism tells us that he will be dialled in from Day 1 to learn the patterns.
High half forward?
Reckon we'll see him on-ball.

I can see him as a Moore type player, the club drafted him to play in the same position as MooreDylan Moore was a high IQ running machine in his underage year. Thought to be too small and too slow to make it as a midfielder, let alone as an AFL footballer.
No reason why Jack can't. Hopefully Moore puts him under his wing.
He played wing in his underage APS years before moving into the guts this year.Eventually I think. But he needs to build size for that at AFL level.
MM referenced the high half forward role for him initially. Clearly has the tank for that already.
He looks ready. From my very limited viewing, I reckon Dalts has a bit of the Wiz about him.
Not just his height, but his determination and a bit of swagger.
I like it.
Swans traded with us so we could get Weddle too. Hopefully similar outcome.I just watched an interview with Jack prior to the draft in which he said he was a Sydney Swans fans and would have preferred to go to an interstate club.
When he got interviewed by the Swans he walked in and hugged Dean Cox.
So I looked up which club we trade up to get in front of to nab young Jack.
Was it by chance The Swans had the pick after 34? I would not of thought so.
So this tells me how impressed the club must be in young Jack!
I am really excited and now expecting a great future for this lad.
Buddy taxSwans traded with us so we could get Weddle too. Hopefully similar outcome.
He looks ready.
I reckon he's got the smarts to play hhf/small forward immediately.
If he was drafted 2 years ago he'd get a game, but we've got so much talent and depth now that he's gonna have to earn it.

Heard from someone who should know, that Dalts has surpassed even the most optimistic expectations of him.
If there's a bolter in Round 1 I'd stake good money on it being him.
He's apparently like a sponge - just soaking up all the instructions, and just wants to learn more.
He's been held back from some sessions as his training is unbelievable for a first year player.
This kid has got a huge future and I'm delighted it's with us.
He's going to be quite some player.

Play him on a HFF and release Moore to spend more time in the midfield.
We did end up with Weddle though I think thats karma enoughEagles traded the pick to us so we could get ahead of the $wans and nab him.
Its karma for them taking Vickery with the pick we gave them in the Weddle trade.
