I cannot speak for the radicals but I know that I have never thought, let alone said that the only good jew is a dead jew.

The Jewish people belong everywhere, not just Israel. I am against the idea of exclusionary Zionism, the idea that Israel belongs to the Jews and the Jews alone.

No ethnicity should have the luxury of thinking an entire nation belongs to them and them alone. Not Israel, not Japan, not China, not Russia.

Having said all that, this attack on a Jewish festival is abhorrent. I can denounce Netanyahu's Israel and I can denounce what happened on Bondi Beach this afternoon.

I can do both.

I hope for change in that nation, but this is never ever going to happen without a slaughter. So I hope in vain for a decapitation airstrike one day that liquidates Netanyahu's entire military and civilian leadership.
