I think it had more to do with Mata coming off. Bloke controlled the game the entire time he was on the field.

We should sack Diles and give Mata an extra $200k and a clipboard and he can coach as well

Good point however Reec's runs and movement are terrible.

I know he got a deal with Aarhus in Denmark and did ok at the Mariners but he just is not an A-League standard footballer.


The club should be getting mutual with him and signing another quality CF ASAP.

For 80 minutes of that game I was stunned that the pack of gimpy goldfish that I'd been venting at for the past few months actually resembled a hungry football team capable of playing... then for the last 10 mins I dreaded the inevitable Jeckle/Hyde twist that sees us ship an avalanche of goals at the death (jeez we were good at that last season). Only Adelaide's fatigue and general crapness didn't see them level.

J-League doesn't resume until Aug 2026 and Geria needs a short term deal leading up World Cup 2026.


If we sign him as an injury replacement we don't have to wait for the transfer window to open on Jan 13 either.
