For all the shit Mitch Marsh has copped over the years at least you could bank on him bobbing up on a flat wicket against the Poms and just belting them everywhere… Green can’t even flat track the poms

True, Marsh's record against England is actually OK and Green does need to start producing soon.

However, Mitch Marsh was getting picked until he was 34, was given 46 Tests and averaged just 28 with the bat. His first class record was not much better, averaging 33.

Green is 26, has played 34 Tests and averages 35 with the bat. 35 requires improvement but is a lot better than 28. He also has a first class average of 45+.

Green also has a better bowling average, better strike rate and better economy with the ball (and is elite in the field).

Needs to improve pretty soon but is still comfortably in front of Marsh. I still think he'll come good.
