In the AFLW Draft Diaries video on Mizuki on the club's website she names both a Essendon female player and an Essendon male player as her most admired players.

She must be a big flight risk in both the Toogood and Moody senses so I can't say I'm happy with the selection.

No doubt Berry being the captain and a coach herself she would have had a job to do on the night and wanted to watch the game closely. Makes perfect sense she wasn't mingling with players. The way you show team spirit is how you act on the track. Anyone can ham it up in the stands. If someone is going to piss off at the first available opportunity it probably says their team spirit wasn't where it should've been.
Plenty of valid reasons a player would leave at the first available opportunity. I'm sure Berry had hers, after being taken at pick 9 by Melbourne. Regardless, on or off the track, we all know she doesn't cut it as captain.

Taking the role away from Blackburn was crazy. An inexperienced coach capable of such a mistake is also most certainly capable of mismanaging a young player who grew up supporting the club.

I reckon there’s a 99% chance the wrong is righted and Pritchard is named captain next year. Pritchard as captain with Blackburn and Grant as vice-captains would be a really solid leadership core.

Both solid selections, I think some thought we might go after a mid, but we aren't short of them, especially with Cann coming in as well, so it was nice to see us go after players to fill holes.

We are certainly in need of a high defender who can play both small and tall, and Brothwell fits the bill. A good user of the footy as well, so will definitely be used as an attacking defender.

While O'Connor Moreira is more of a work in progress, she certainly has some exciting traits. Her speed being the obvious one. Needs to build a bit of tank, and I can see her playing a fair bit of VFLW next year, but it will be nice to have another speedy winger, who can also go forward if needed.
