Hope time proves me wrong but Lyon rarely bowls us to 4th innings victory's anymore.

Did he ever? Good bowler, but early career was a bounce bowler more than spinner. More effective than you expect from a good Test offie in i9nnnings one and two, maybe about standard come innings four.
Without checking the numbers, I suspect the gap between innings 1 and 4 is less than most finger spinners.
