Before we continue with the votes, Millky95 has a special presentation he would like to make on behalf of the Bears Leadership group.

Is Cap set for yet another Mateflon after that brilliant start? Of course it’s Millky95 our other multi-Mateflon winner who isn’t far behind

Shoutout to JoshWoodenSpoon (welcome back!) for collecting 3 qooty votes from FB. Not an easy feat!

A man. A shower. A career.

Test Tickle has been a Las Vegas favourite since his rookie season back in S26. Test Tickle quickly rose the ranks of the Bears, winning his first All SFA nod and Best and Fairest in S28. In S29 not saw Test Tickle take over the captaincy through to S30 but also his second All-SFA selection. A stint away for a season was followed by a triumphant return for the Man of the Showers all the way through to Season 40.

On field is only part of the story. Early into Test Tickle's career showed his value as a leader. It was through Test Tickle's impeccable leadership that the Bears managed to whether a lean period at the end of the S20s and start of S30s. Testy lead a large recruitment in S30 that saw new faces at club including future captains, B&F winners and eventual Vegas Hall of Famers. It was the beginning of a Las Vegas renaissance as the Bears became one of the most formidable posting units of the Sweet F.A.. The modern view of the Bears began here and Testy was their daddy.

In banter Test Tickle had two passions: his sister Tess Tickle and the shower. Always ready to celebrate a win, commiserate a loss or contemplate a draw with a steamy, soapy soak.

On a deeply personal level, if it wasn't for the kindness and compassion that Testy showed me in my SFA return, I certainly wouldn't have been a Bear. To me you will always be the SFA father I needed. My love and respect for you grows each day and I am honoured that you call me your teammate.

So I raise my showerhead high to the Hall of Famer. The poster who made sure that if I ever meet Kevin Sheedy in the street I would never be able to look him in the eye cause of all the ways his face has been photoshopped onto a gif.

Welcome Test Tickle to the Las Vegas Bears Hall of Fame.

It is with great pleasure I announce MWPP as the Best Defender this season. This award can be added to her prestigious trophy cabinet brimming with awards including 2 Mateflon's in Seasons 32 and 33 and 3 Bears Captain Hats from Seasons 30-32. With the defense being the strength of the Bears this season this was actually a competitive award too, which should highlight MWPP's excellence to be declared the winner.

In a shockingly competent decision from Coach Lasso, MWPP made a move to Half Back after being a multi-snubbed All-SFA Forward Pocket and joined a reunited Mwermunkya line that had endless chemistry to intercept and counterattack, similar to the Eagles' McKenna — Jakovich — Worsfold HB line in their heyday.

MWPP lead the line brilliantly befitting her favourite dinner
that is being full of flavour, style and heart. Her efforts created 792DT points and the 4th Best Q-Score in the league. The league finally took notice too, awarding her with All-SFA honours for an undeniable season.

Off-field MWPP is a heart and soul leader of the Qlub, always getting around her teammates and giving immeasurable time and effort behind the scenes.

I invite everyone to raise a glass to the Best Defender of S40. Congratulations MWPP!

Congrats MWPP. I burn a lot of energy throwing elbows around so it's great to know you're there to cover my lack of defensive intent.

Sizzled up. Oiled up. Ronnie is here!

RonnieRaven was the play maker at the Bears for Season 40. Dominating the wing, Ronnie finished the season first for kicks (140) and handballs (139) whilst also being second for marks (72) and Dream Team (1,022). Always finding the right position at the buffet line and the Qooty field, most plays from half back to forward came through Ronnie.

Despite dominating the outside, when the times got tough for the Bears Ronnie made sure to get stuck in laying nearly 2 tackles a game and sneaking down forward for a few snags!

Did you know? RonnieRaven has scored over 1,000 DT points in every season played? A breakout season is just on the horizon.

Congratulations, RonnieRaven!

In a lean season up forward for the Bears where the pockets were busy trying to get donuts and the full forward was trying to kick behinds (and not in the atomically correct sense), it came to one player to tidy up the mess. Enter Matele.

Up on the half forward flank, pushing up when needed for 35 marks or pushing forward to provide pressure as the only forward player to have double digit tackles. Not afraid to attack the goals either, Matele finished with the best accuracy of our forwards as well with 15 goals for only 5 behinds.

A worthy back to back winner of our best forward. Congratulations, Matele!

Leading Goal.png

A hearty congratulations are in order for Bear Number 65 and Hall of Famer Art Vandelay_ for his 47 goals effort this season. The impressive haul makes him the leading goalkicker for the team this year and thus most deserving of his 4th Leading Goal Kicker trophy (including the 3rd season in a row).

Somewhere along the way this season he kicked his 400th goal as well (tallying 407 for his illustrious career so far) but his teammates were probably already at the post-match function at Sizzler to take notice sozza.

Like Tom Hanks trying to drag an (unbeknownst to him) dismembered corpse across the beach of Normandy in his favourite 90's film Saving Private Ryan, our full forward tried his best to put Las Vegas in the winners column despite a limited supply and was unsuccessful in saving aforementioned corpse.

Art is known for his take-no-prisoners banter towards our inferior opposition in Sweet, many (alleged) contributions to the field of architecture, passionate devotion to all things Geelong, ahem, Las Vegas and... I'm sure there's something else but I just can't put my finger on it.

I invite everyone to raise a glass for the literal Bear in the Square and toast a marvelous season.

In the space of 2 Rounds SSSSSS has gone from outside the top 5 and into 4th, is he making a late run and Millky95 has taken the lead, will anyone be able to stop him from making it 2 in a row.
