The pitch has a bit in it. But its not a bad pitch. Some bad batting, decent bowling, and catches held.
Possibly 100 short of a reasonable score on a seaming, but quite playable, pitch.

But England are England, so Australia could get a first innings lead of 60 yet.

The other reason I'm disappointed with that tenth wicket partnership. That wasn't a serious last sentence, but looked close for a while.
