it feels like they're sort of planning to do Athena-Mone for the ROH title (or Mone costs Athena the title?), but then backtracking. I dunno.

I thought they're building to Athena beating Mercedes for tbs maybe at revolution. Would rather it be somebody new but nobody is coming through.

Season 8 Wtf GIF by The Office

according to updated version of tweet, lawyers negotiated his non-compete clause
Really hope it leads to further challengings of non-compete clauses in the future.
Back to the days where someone appeared on Raw one week and then Thunder on Wed/Thurs. Do it.

In 2000 Mike Awesome, who was ECW champion but at the end of his contract debuted in WCW, and three days later wrestled in ECW to drop the title to Tazz who was contracted to WWF/E.

If there's three winners and three losers, how does it play out for the semi's??
usually it's head to head tie-breakers. if all the 3 winners were tied due to head to head results, not sure how they would handle it. (I would book a 3 way elimination match on Zero Hour, to determine seedings.)

it would be nutzo if all 3 matches went to draws, and everyone was still tied. my brain would explode trying to figure out the permutations.

It's really absurd they've been built into contracts for so long, but also no wonder they keep quashing attempts to unionise.

If you're releasing a guy you should be forgoing any sense of contract you have over them. Offer the non-competes at time of release for a cash incentive, that is far more equitable.

At the end of the group stage of the Continental Classic, we pretty much got the semi finalists we thought we’d get before it started. For all the twists and turns throughout, the final four makes perfect sense, with both semis being fresh singles match ups in AEW.

Knight and Fletcher were my standouts of the tournament, with high quality consistency that the others couldn’t match. Takeshita just did his thing with minimal fuss to remain undefeated.

That was one of the best episodes of Collision, and definitely outshone Dynamite from the day before. Having a full final round of tournament matches certainly helped.

Time is precious in December with the Continental Classic taking up a lot of space. It certainly hasn't helped Statlander, who has barely appeared on screen since retaining at Full Gear. Very little hype going into Worlds End against Hayter, which should be a huge match up, but just doesn't grab you the way it should.

Well done to the four wrestlers who will have performed at every PPV in 2025 by this time tomorrow. Fletcher, Moxley, Mone and Storm will have achieved this, and caps off a great 2025 for all of them. Only Ospreay performed in all 9 in 2024, and MJF performed in all 8 in 2023.

Time to head off to the Worlds End thread for predictions.
