Very disappointed for Big Jasper.

I hope he has managed to get his support people around him for what will be a devastating blow to his MH.

He risked everything by coming across the country to follow his dream and I hope he still manages to make a career at AFL level in due course.

Notre Dame football got a gift on Christmas, as Australian punter Jasper Scaife committed and will enroll in January.

"Notre Dame football lost punter James Rendell due to running out of eligibility, which left a hole in the roster.

On Christmas Day, the Irish got a present with the commitment of Australian punter Jasper Scaife. While he hasn’t played American football for long, formerly trying to make it professionally as an Australia Rules Football player.

At 6-foot, 5-inches and 200-pounds, he won’t need any time in the weight room to get ready to play. Scaife will have four seasons of eligibility, so he could be with the program for a good amount of time. According to a report by 247Sports Tom Loy, he learned the game by playing Madden the video game series, but admitted that he wasn’t very good."

The last time I was there, I really wanted to get into the culture, so I was at a shop and the lady behind the counter said "Have a nice day" and I didn't so I sued her.

You can expect that from a superstar from highschool who's projected to go first round. For an untried Aussie, thats pretty big. Some might be lucky to get classes paid for. But normally need to cover meals etc, not the full ride
