I went in to this movie relatively blind knowing only the brief summary, and overall I thought it was a fun, gripping movie much better executed than Flight Plan with Jodie Foster.

I enjoyed watching the movie and with Neeson being a bit hit and miss this was a hit for mine.

I could feel some strong similarities to Flight Plan but this one was much better executed. From the beginning, I felt like this was going to be a bit of an investigation and I feel like that's what they were going for. They gave enough people to think about as to whether they're the bad guy or not and just like Source Code threw in a few red herrings, racially profiled some people etc. My feelings were that the bad guy/s weren't going to be the obvious and is why I threw out the cop, and the Doctor (Feeling like WW here). We get to see the same emotional toll on the protagonist, as we did with Jodie Foster in Flight Plan giving us every reason to think that Bill Marks was the bad guy. I often wonder if a writer would be bold enough to set a movie up with the hero as the villain saved by an unlikely hero. As I walked my way through the movie, I'm thinking my first option was Kyle, he seemed suspicious early, and he had full control of the plane, next option was Tom Bowen who I was right on that one. We were introduced to him early and then later it seemed strange that Zach was a tech engineer but they did a good job casting him as the 'nice' guy.

Really liked the front end cast. Julianne Moore really grew throughout the movie and I'll be honest I was regretting commenting on her early in the film because I hated her but that was more indicative of her character but she really grew on me. Reasonable cast, reasonable story line but it did get a bit ****ed up which I'm still trying to work out what the whole point of it was other than some complete ****ing nutcase with a wild agenda.

Bit of an interesting casting with the young girl virtually being a child clone of Julianne Moore and I'm sure that was deliberate for some reason.

The story is interesting, there's some fun scenes, a good performance by Chalamet. But the main character is so unlikeable that the movie is a chore to sit through. It's hard to get excited by games of table tennis, especially when it looks fake. The critics seem to love it so it will probably win awards.

Moral weaknesses exposed on all levels in this film based in a town outside nyc where a group of city cops live and enjoy flying under the radar. MC Freddy (Stallone) plays the good sheriff of the town who wanted so much to be a boy in blue mentally writes off any suggestions of corruption as he deals with his own internal struggles.
De Niro as Mo the detective from IA just tops this film off.

It surprised me how much I enjoyed this film. I couldn’t classify myself as a Stallone person, but this is his role and it finds what he does possess. That lumbering, battered ex-linebacker physique with general world-weary energy (or lack of it) is perfect for the role, alongside the sagging eyelids and the punch-drunk drawl. I think that time will only continue to be kind to this slightly under-appreciated gem. I’m a bit of a sucker for a Staten Island flick, too.

HAHA, it was Under Siege but the 90s had a lot of great movies

Glad you enjoyed Under Siege. When you said 1992, my mind went to this allegedly awful film, released in perhaps the, ahem, golden age of the “Erotic Thriller”.

I came across this when I was a kid. I was playing with a kid whose parents were evidently having some issues. The Dad thought that the Mum and kids were going to be away for the weekend, but when they came home early, it was discovered that he had loaded up on things like this and Joan Severance films from the video store, all splayed out across the coffee table.

It's been a grower for me, but on the fourth viewing of Withnail and I, I finally like it. Gee it took some getting into it though. Not going to say what it's about, go in blind.

You likely won't care much for it on the first viewing.

Wake Up Dead Man was a fun watch like the first two. Although I felt like a couple of the characters didn't really have much to do and were just there to fill out the numbers. It even felt like Blanc didn't get as much screen time in this one. 7/10

There is only a few Stallone films I do like and this one is near best for me. Lock Up is another I quite enjoy.

Story revolves around an outlaw bike gang and its members being targeted. While the police try to assist them to investigate who wants to hurt them they send in ‘Stone’ who plays the undercover cop to help find those responsible.

Quite the cult film, Bommer. There is, or was, a whole subculture attached to celebrating the film, with bike runs through the terrain that is within the movie.

I'd give it a go if I watched enough movies but I looked at a website with my imdb csv and most of my movies watched are in may and December.

I think overall my most watched directors are Spielberg and Scorcese, Actors John Cusack
