Just did a search and wow, it’s the reigning premiers who get the easy double up, big leg up for last years champions…

I actually think it is a big disadvantage Hobart don't get to play the Stars in Hobart. Could be difference between 1 and 2 and a home final. Stars at G is a bad match up for Hobart.

But then the Stars only get Perth away, not sure the Scorchers could even find the MCG…But that’s a huge disadvantage.

But this year pretty much comes down to the toss, only 1 game not involving Heat or Thunder has been won by team who lost the toss and even including them, it’s 15/21 games won at the toss.

The question I have is how did Tim Ward slip through both the Thunder and Sixers grasp? See his profile he was born in Wahroonga (North Shore of Sydney) I understand the Showgrounds may have been a crap shoot for batters in the past but he is the type of batter the Thunder is crying out for right now instead of the old, fragile , done-and-dusted Bancroft and Nic Maddisons of this world.

His innings was just as good as David Warners tonight and Ward will play opener for the rest of the campaign. Tim Davids loss is felt less and may have just opened up an opportunity for Ward.

Crazy they would be given last years runners up twice. They really should wait until the season is finished and redo the schedule and go again.

Same number of teams with 1 more international?

Problem is the timing for internationals we get scrubs as the SAt20 is better in cash and you have others too. I’d be increasing the internationals by 2 and finish the comp by the end of the Syd test

BBL could actually be done.

Still haven’t had a score under 170 defended yet have we?

If the result is 80% in your favour at the coin toss then what are we watching?

He plays Shield for Tassie, so seems like he made a semi-permanent move from NSW to Tassie years ago for his cricket development. Might be a bit of a "I'm a Tasmanian now, Hobart has first dibs on me" kind of thing.

Plus from his stats sheet, he's only played a handful of T20s ever. Possibly he was seen as a Shield cricketer only type of player for a long time, and nobody really recognised he had this in him.
