Chart commences from Oct 2015. Opioid-overdose deaths had increased every year for the previous two decades - killing 72,000 Americans by 2017.

Trump 1.0 - 30% increase.

Bipartisan congressional legislation to address the ongoing, and largely preventable, crisis has done little to change the landscape.

Biden years saw an increase, flatlining and reduction. Thanks in large part to sustained efforts by health advocates and medical professionals.
