As a blunder, it was more than matched by the farcical ball change next tour at The Oval.

I actually reckon we made our own bed as we were the ones who used up our reviews. You cant whinge that the umpire SHOULD have got the LBW right, when we kept reviewing the ones the umpires did get right. Our own fault.

The ball change was completely insane. Usually the ball change takes time as they try to get a like for like. But those 2 balls looked nothing the same. I thought we were no chance to run down that score, but the pitch was offering nothing to the bowlers, and the ball was doing SFA, so as Usman and Warner marched on, the English heads were dropping. Ball change, the thing hooped like no one’s business, momentum swing.

I'll stand by what I said yesterday, this pitch still looks pretty good for batting, so it was somewhat inevitable England would still add runs even with only two wickets left on the board.

Surely we can chase 160 down easily...surely. Famous last words (again).

I think Head is man of the series TBH. I am happy for Starc to get it as well but given the series was generally dominated by the ball I would think what Head has done is exceptional given he came into the series batting at 5 but ended up leading the runs scored by opening all series.
