I didn't quote anything! You started banging on about quotes. Re-read the chat. Geezus. Show me where I provided actual quotes.
Had remnants of Goodie telling Dunstan he saw him playing a key role in our midfield. Just lying through their teeth these guys.
Nwouldnt have a clue where that video is now. but I remember it pretty vividly.
Ah yes, the guy who handed out the Grundy and Treloar contracts whilst green lighting the Dayne Beams trade.
Wtf are we doing? He was a fn disaster at Collingwood.
I've liked a lot of our recent decisions, but I don't know about this one. Will wait and see i guess.
Yes he was such a desater, how bad was there list after he left, one that won a flag and being top 4 for the last few years, gee he left that club to become a disaster
I think you'll find Graeme Wright was behind the reset.
I think you might have got that wrong I don't think he handed out the long contracts to draw more like it he's one that got celery dumped by getting rid ofex
No list are built years before they become good, guy was behind the salary dump that got rid of Adam Treloar, which in the long run was a good thing
I think you might have got that wrong I don't think he handed out the long contracts to Adam treloar, since guy came to Collingwood in 2017 and adam came in 2016 it he's the one that that came up with the salary dump by getting rid of Adam Treloar
What does 'Head of Strategy' do anyway?
Who was the last guy we had in that role? Sounds like a do-nothing job for the boys.
Treloar was given a significant contract extension whilst Guy was there. I don't think he gets credit for the salary dump either considering they reportedly didn't have much of a choice in regards to their cap.
I get we aren't an attractive place to be but it is still an underwhelming appointment.
No, Treloar was given an extension of 5 years at $5 million just prior to the crap hitting the fan. That being said, I think the role of Guy, and Tim Lamb for that matter, in those situations gets overstated. I think they probably do have to make a pitch that they've got a good deal, but none of those things happen in a vacuum. We act like they've signed these deals and the board, Football Manager, etc. look up from their Rodd & Gunn catalogues and say, "He did, WHAT?!"
I also think the 'fire sale' has been misrepresented by non-Collingwood fans as an "Oh, crap! What have we done?" moment, and by Collingwood folklore as a brilliant list rejuvenation strategy, when it has been rumored to have been more likely caused by Eddie's 'loan' to Dayne Beams to pay off some large gambling debts being discovered by the AFL who insisted that it be counted towards their salary cap. They were suddenly circa a million over cap and needed to offload that weight.
Now it sounds like I'm supporting the Ned Guy appointment. I'm not. I would really like it we could just make some signings that made sense for a change.![]()
Why did this happen?
Is he there to babysit Lamb lol
Do we know the contract status of Richo and Lamb?
Well not if we keep hiring spuds like Ned Guy.
Don't really understand why we wouldn't be an attractive destination at the moment, new head coach from esteemed Geelong Cats, mad young players, no more shitty players like Clayton Oliver. We're on the up here.
Celery dumped!I think you might have got that wrong I don't think he handed out the long contracts to draw more like it he's one that got celery dumped by getting rid ofex
Join supercoachWhat? Do you have any understanding of how training is setup? AFL players train with the AFL team.
No it wouldn't.
Sounds fine to me. Casey facilities are very good for AFLW.
What are you even on about? Casey is our VFL team no matter where the training base is.
It's literally 22km closer to Casey, and out of Punt Rd traffic. Thought a trucker would know this.
Hahaha what? If that was the case, why would we even be looking at Caulfield?
Moderate your way out of this one, Chief! We're so back
You must not have qualified for a true fan.Mate I won that Supercoach league last year and you never gave me the prize!!![]()
