Dyson seems like such a good fella, I hope that isn't the case.
Given development coaches are essentially the line coaches at VFL level, it would've been very hard for him to keep playing at a rival club in any case. Just seems as though the end has been sped up
Spotted Mason Redman having a quiet dinner at the cafe my daughter works in last night, can confirm that he was very obliging for a photo op and was an absolute gentleman to those who spoke to him.

To me it feels like the concept of protecting a player by not talking about his issues is just giving him license to ruin his life. Talk about it in public and put the pressure on him to fix himself and go to rehab. Being a public figure to me gives someone more of a opportunity for help so give him that help. Stop just ignoring the problem because you dont wanna hurt some mythical club culture you think needs protecting

Yeah, not sure about that. I doubt that having all your issues out there being the subject of water cooler, pub stool, Facebook nonsense etc will do anyone a whole lot of good.
None of the Karens and Darrens really know what they're talking about, and mostly just prefer to engage in malicious and derogatory gobshyte about players from other teams.
I was picking my daughter up from work ( I work a few doors down), I wanted him to have dinner in peace, he had finished and my daughter asked me about talking to Mason and I told her to be polite and if he refuses to understand that he's out and entitled to be left alone, but he was was very receptive. He even noticed my daughter's Collingwood school bag, he didn't let it slide! I wished him well for 2026 and we let him be. That being said, I'm all for a polite, 'no thanks, I'm just having a quiet night', I'm sure most footballers are ok with being noticed and asked for an autograph or selfie, it's a case by case basis I guess, but they are entitled to their life, but credit to Mason, he was a very cool cat!
