Mason had injury and consistency issues, but it was hard to dislike the guy.

And we dumped him, it wasn't like he agitated to leave, so I can't begrudge any success he has. Good on him.
That sealer against Sydney was great

In fairness to Brady, we had to create space on the list to bring in Connor Menadue, Pat Walker and Atu Bosenavulagi.

In the lead up to the draft, I had spoken of Mikunda & been a big fan of his footy. When his name was called out by the Roos, it was the icing on the cake!!! Gem.

Not sure the 2nd comment was anything but complimentary about Mason?

Rated him highly at north i would've kept him on. Talented, good attitude it just wasnt clicking for extended periods.

Saints got a beauty and in the meantime we shuffled through some of the worst "experienced" AFL players as stop gaps ourselves.

That's life.
Agree, couldn't get his body right with us to get a decent run at it AND lets not forget, he was played as an "undersized" marking forward....remember him being stuck behind Aaron Black for opportunity, let that sink in. Always had a big tank, but really was played as marking forward and only a couple of stints up the ground under Scott. Good on the saints for picking him up and making use of his attributes on a wing.
