Such a kick in the guts and gives an ominous feeling for the rest of the season. Was probably most excited about Taj tbh as I just figured Lalor would miss games

****en spewing big time

Was it Hotton who went down in the 3rd quarter in pain, and then played on?

If so (and I think I'm remembering correctly) this is 100% on our fitness team.
Spot on mate

What a major disappointment- all I wanted to see from us this year was the young talented kids growth - no other real expectations

Well the second part looks to be coming through 😟

Not sure if its been mentoned - but he did get smashed in a legit bump maybe in the second quarter - prob hip on hip - was very ginger and barely touched it after that. Dont think it has anything to do with over training and its not unusual to try and run that out but maybe caused more damage than first thought.

I don't get why everyone is calling for Serpell to be sacked after this injury. It's not a recurring injury, and our injury list is actually pretty small atm, with Smillie the only soft tissue injury on there.

Dunno but the 'trust the club' brigade have ruled out our medical/fitness staff.
Walk me through how a bone stress fracture is the fault of the strength and conditioning team?
I'll wait.

3rd Q IIRC. Threw up the X signal.

They should scan every player before every game and have a Scan machine on the boundary line after every player falls , gets hit , trips and kicks a goal

common man get with the times

If they let him play on after the collision it may be.

And he did play on.

So they either assessed and said go back on, or didn't assess.
They wouldn't have been able to assess a bone stress fracture in his hip on the boundary line. Taj would have had to call it out and if he didn't feel or report any pain there's nothing that the medical team could have done.

At least he’s got a very good fitness base…They’ll be conservative, but it could be 12 weeks, all going well…
The 16 week scenario is still only the end of June, still a lot of footy left…
I really feel for the guy, who was about to jump out…

they wouldn't have known and that sort of collision and soreness would happen all the time. Most of the time players would run it out - they only would have been found out after xray/mri

Most of the time players don't signal the bench if it's nothing.

The fitness staff should have taken a precautionary approach and benched him.
