He's been managed this preseason, reportedly groins, maybe this is the real reason? The Soligo thing is allegedly heart related, Wines has a heart condition that he manages ok
I just spent a bit of time quizzing AI. Yeah I know... Anyway, I was surprised by the severity of the penalties:
"The AFL has significantly ramped up its integrity monitoring for the 2026 season specifically to combat the "inside info" leaks that fuelled some of the rumours you've heard.
Here is the breakdown of the new rules and the system the AFL is using to catch anything suspicious:
1. The New "Real-Time" AI Monitoring
In response to leaked documents from late 2024 and early 2025 that showed "blind spots" in the system, the AFL has overhauled its integrity framework for 2026:
- Centralised Database: The AFL now requires over 80 bookmakers to provide real-time transaction data to a centralised system managed by an external AI company.
- Flagging Suspicious Bets: The AI is designed to catch "anomalies"—for example, if a large volume of bets suddenly comes in on a player like ****** to kick the first goal just after a private team meeting where his position was changed.
- Player Data: The system cross-references gambler names with AFL player associates and "Persons of Interest" to identify if someone close to a player is placing bets based on non-public info.
2. Stricter "Inside Information" Rules
The AFL updated its policy to be much more aggressive regarding what players can say to friends and family.
- The "Coffee Bet" Rule: The AFL famously told staff and players that even a "private coffee bet" with a friend on a game result is a breach.
- The Starting Position Rule: Following an anonymous 2025 investigation where a player allegedly leaked that they were starting in a "new position," the AFL now classifies any non-public tactical change as "Corrupt Conduct Information."
- Penalties: If a player is found to have leaked info (even without betting themselves), they face up to 10 years imprisonment under state laws (like the Betting and Racing Act) and a life ban from the AFL."

Rankine is hardly on the fringe of our team!I'd punt on it being Rankine but only because his proven track record of self sabotage. With any other player I'm just guessing.
Doubt Soligo has a heart issue as would make no sense to play him the 2nd half then.Doesn’t seem to be about this issue. Someone suggesting heart issues. Which is worse
Or at least accurate.Next question for that AI, 'how much of what you just gave me is true?'
Missed the last few games, not playing round 1Rankine is hardly on the fringe of our team!
