So let's see here, we have the red, black and white team playing against the red and black team wearing white shorts.

Brilliant.
There is no dumber human being alive than whoever does the AFL team and umpire colours sign off

I’m actually worried about Port doing well this year.

After listening to Ken and Chad in the media over the last few weeks, I have no idea how they won so many games.

Those 2 have shared nothing that says to me they were great thinkers of the game.

Their draw is soft, but they arent going to do well.

50m penalty for not returning the ball to the player on the full.

The replay clearly shows he threw it directly to where the player was, the player took three steps backwards while the ball was in the air and let it land on the ground.

Apparently the umpires are going to be more strict on that this year. Watch players deliberately let the ball land on the ground to try and milk a cheap 50.

Liam Ryan and Nasiah interview very good. Already plenty of chemistry/banter between the two. Could be a good move for the Saints

Say what you like about Ken but he was a good motivator. Even if he wasn't great tactically he had his strengths.

All I have to say is WatchAFL app for international streaming is by far one of the biggest rip offs in the streaming market. Love the AFL. We want to grow the game....but we will charge a premium for international audiences. way above market rates and then complain when we never gain traction.

Well Danger in Texas .....I guess Windsor can play Midfield .....and pretty well
He always had that inside ability .....and he's a danger player with ball in hand, such is his thought process

I get it through my AFC International membership, although you don't get much else.
Yes, it's a premium, but you get every game, live or on demand, plus all the shows on Fox Footy channel (not that I watch them much).

It's a niche product for what is probably a relatively small number of subscribers.
IMO Australian Football is never going to gain much more than a cult following overseas.
Even if it was a free service, you're going against firmly entrenched interests in other sports in Europe, USA or wherever.
Some matches are shown on other services like TNT Sports in the UK, so it's not the only way to see the sport overseas.

The bloke is a buffoon. Ben Dixon commented after Nas went past him having running bounces which led to a goal “Nas gave me wind burn as he went flying past me on the wing just then boys”, or something to that effect. Hinkley’s reply was “That’s not hard Dicko”. WTF ??? What a moron.

I made a habit of doing that playing ammo’s footy. Stand a metre or two back from the man on the mark. Just as the oppo player is about to return the ball, just before they let it go, take 5 or 6 quick strides backwards. Then throw your hands in the air when the ball isn't returned on the full. Umpires used to fall for it all the time.

it offers nothing at all that other sports dont provide in their streaming services

It has jumped significantly the last 3 years. Just letting you know the best route - is to grab an international membership.

I am in California - and Watch AFL for the year is $182 USD. Crows International Membership is $188USD (gives access to watch afl). If you wanna save some $$ get a Swans Membership which is $220 ($156 USD) and it gives access to Watch AFL as well.

This year I am not going to subscribe. My VPN allows me to watch full match replays on AFL.com.au the next day and our schedule is 95% night games this year (so it means 2 - 3am our time).

Considering its the whole year - if you only watch the Crows games it works out to be $8 per game, which isnt too bad.
