You tap the brakes chungi, I realise this fitness team is only new and as I said, I hope we have a good long term plan. Nevertheless when you have 25% of your list missing, questions do need to be asked. You can polish it as much as you like but we are miles behind everyone else before we play our first game.
As for give it a chance, I’ll ask the question at every opportunity as any professional organisation should be reviewing operations continuously.
Your original post states "some things never change at Essendon".....

Followed by "I realise the fitness team is only new" in your very next post.

They asked the questions for the injury crisis and implemented change. Of that 25% you speak of, most are carry over injuries from when these questions you want answered were asked.

They asked the questions, they reviewed, they have implemented change and it will take time. I'm sure they are constantly reviewing.

Just give them a chance before rolling out the same old Essendon shtick.

Reads like Hayes and Setterfield have had significant setbacks, Bourke had his hammy almost ripped from the bone, and rumours of Ridley’s death were greatly exaggerated..
Ridley is ‘deadish’ Setterfield is about where we expected based on reports last year.

Hayes is long term project and back up in reality. Our kpd options are fine. Shown he is a okay 3rd/4th choice. So it's a set back but both him and the club have time.

Mckay/reid/blakiston
Ridley/kondo

*Last chance salon gerryn/jones/cox

Also if required allows Jones or Cox to get some kpd minutes before make call to delist. They dont work as kpd there they are not that valuable as utility and we delist.

Good to see a small injury list.

Don't think a small injury list changes much in terms of wins/losses. Were bottom 4 anyway however it does help our development, vfl program and competitiveness.

Think future benefit is the real pay off.

Genuinely think that a decade of a poor strength and conditioning program has cooked Redman, Langford, Parish, Ridley, Guelfi. They’re meant to be our core senior players, all of them plagued by soft tissue injuries for years. Now they’re playing like they are made from tissue paper and who can blame them.

For me this core group has never known success - and can hardly make it through the season. How are we supposed to create a good culture for the young kids coming through when the senior lads are so shot - can’t re-live their experiences being part of a good team?

Not going to say your point is wrong. It probably has.

One interesting thing I remember from early on with Murphy was coming from the Hawks he was surprised how many players did not rehab themselves properly but also how average recovery was with some of them.

Still think that not really focusing on endurance running as a box to tick has hurt as far as you get injured more when you fatigue and that fatigue comes a lot earlier to those who lack decent endurance.

Apparently we had 6 players taken from 2017-2023 play on the weekend, Freo had 13. That is a massive difference in how stable a best 23 should be.

Ive argued moving on guys like Parish, Langford purely to free up a list spot
