Got a little bamboozled, it seemed Drainpipes was also calling the GC v WC match, and he asked Dermie if this Duursma ( WCE ) will be the best Duursma, Dermie's response, nah I like the one from North. Drainpipes just STFU after that. Was enjoyable.
Well, no offense to Xavier and Yasmin but it's going to come down to who's better out of Willem and Zane.

We need to show the same desire, structure, energy and resilience week in, week out.

West Coast showed at Gold Coast that whilst they are a way off in pure talent they do have pride, grit and fight. When Gold Coast dropped their intensity West Coast were able to match them. Our best is not close to Gold Coast’s so we have a smaller margin for error. We cannot take the Eagles lightly. If we deliver the same team first defensive effort we should win comfortably but we have to earn it, not just expect it.

Go hard for four quarters, back up the win and build belief in the building, and in the fanbase. Do it week after week and eventually the media will come around.

Ronny's a ****wit
And Clarko handled that extremely well. Better than most.

As the coach said - leave Harry the **** alone.

I'm Jewish and Ronny Lerner is a ****ing embarrassment.

Players and club talking too much about what they have to do and how they are going to do it. Just do it first, then talk later.
Been a lot of “talk the talk” off the back of the Porta victory, which is fine, as long as we “walk the walk” against West Coast. If we lose that the questions will be asked and rightly so. I’m confident we can back it up but like every North supporter that’s witnessed us play these last 6 years or so there’s a part of me that’s very nervous as well.

Clarkson handled that about as well as one possibly could. Refused to take the bait of engaging with the question directly, affirmed how much he cares for and values Harry Sheezel, and appended a humanist message while showing the question to be ridiculous.

He’s a Murdoch stooge - pushing his employers racist and outdated agenda and hijacking anything that can be weaponised for the SkyNews pile on.

He was like that before he made it mainstream. Used to regularly troll North and others on twitter. Total flog

Well said.

The euphoria of the win will fade into a bit of trepidation later in the week I reckon.

Ordinarily I'd hope for a big win against a side a bit down and out and of course that'd be nice. But it would actually be better to see a professional, disciplined win.

West Coast will be pumped up to atone. I want to see us treating them with respect, stick to our plans and grind them out for 4 points.

So what if we don't have a big percentage party. We're nowhere near good enough to prematurely chalk up wins especially big ones against anyone just yet.

Beat them playing 4 quarters of focused, structured football - I'm happy.

We all carried on after the Dees win last year too ("we've got our club back!") and then promptly shat the bed against Carlton and Sydney.

Fixture is a blessing in that we've got a proper block of winnable games to test against

Most of the games are on pay per view. Quality of the games is more important than goals. The AFL would do well to refocus on umpiring quality, a fairer fixture, clean draft, variable salary cap and having games that neutral supporters feel some reason to bother watching.
Yeah, Nah… **** it. Big teams, hell yeah!
