And there you have it as if we didn’t already know, he was pushed into this by Israel. Surprise, surprise. (PS : and no, that statement isn’t antisemitism)

He had no strategy for this, he just thought he could blow them up and they would just lay down and accept.

And then you have a look at Trump’s bagging the individual once he resigns.

Trump is a pathetic weak leader, never changed.
Eagleboy2011 - still going to gullibly follow Trump's word?

This is WMD all over again.

All Trump has achieved is replacing the Dad with Son & causing chaos lifting world wide inflation, spending billions achieving what?

I don't mind that Trump ****s up the US, but now he is ****ing up the world.

He is a magician.

Only Trump could get Democrats and TDS posters to support a terrorist regime.

I don't know if you actually believe the things you post, or you just love Trump so much and enjoy "riling up lefties" that you'll swallow pretty much anything that your orange hero says or does, but either way it says a lot about your critical thinking skills.

One of the reasons I detest Trump politically (let's not even go into all of the other stuff) is not just because of a collection of repulsive comments or actions, but rather, how every exchange, every interaction, is a zero sum action. He only ever wins in his own mind when the others lose.

George W. Bush was shockingly bad when it came to binary, us vs. them narratives ("you're either with us or you're with the terrorists"). However, Trump isn't even next level, he's on another planet entirely. Nuance isn't just a word he hates because he can't spell it, he hates the concept because it's anathema to his impulsivity.

Trump and his supporters, instead of actually trying to understand anything about what the other side says, instead reach for slogans. I mean, any resistance to Trump's illegal war on Iran is tantamount to supporting the Islamic Revolution, according to your silly meme.

Please explain why it's inconsistent to oppose both Trump's illegal war and the repressive règime in Tehran at the same time? Especially for those of us who are old enough to remember 9/11 and the lies used to justify the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, it's the same neocon talking points which make us very wary of repeating similarly ill-fated U.S. Military adventurism.

It sounds like you like others suffering TDS support the world's leading sponsor of terrorism. This country has murdered 30 -40 thousand of its own citizens this year alone for protesting. It has supported Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. It's showering missiles at all countries within its range as far as Turkiye. Friend and foe. Nearly every ME country has condemned Iran. Condemnations stem from Iran targeting or violating the sovereignty of Gulf Arab states and others, often hitting civilian areas.

Iran has stockpiled uranium enriched to 60% purity (near-weapons-grade, as further enrichment to 90% is relatively quick), and officials have acknowledged this stockpile during discussions.
Steve Witkoff reported that Iranian negotiators openly stated they had enough 60%-enriched uranium (around 460 kg) to potentially produce material for multiple nuclear weapons.
Where is the evidence that 30 to 40 thousand people died in Iran protesting? I don't doubt that thousands did, and it's horrific, but if you're going to use specific figures - most probably highly inflated - then evidence needs to be provided.

I don't support violence or aggression in any form, but if you don't understand that by having U.S. military bases situated in a country, that you then become a legitimate military target if U.S. attacks another country, then I don't know what to tell you.

I also do not support the hitting of civilian areas, including hotels in Dubai, Qatar and the like. However, it's been reported that when the U.S. Military evacuated its personnel from its Middle East bases, those staffers were sent to hotels in these Gulf states, to continue their work.

Israel and U.S. supporters loved saying "Hamas uses human shields" yet, if what has been reported is correct, the U.S. was conducting military operations within civilian infrastructure - turning Gulf Arab hotels into potentially legitimate military targets.

As for uraniam enrichment, why did Donald Trump rip up the JCPOA in 2015? It was working fine, and Iran was in full compliance. Furthermore, a report came out from the U.S. intelligence community which assessed that Iran was not developing a nuclear weapon.

Tulsi Gabbard stated that there was no evidence to suggest Iran was pursuing the development of a weapon, yet Donald Trump explicitly stated "she was wrong" when questioned on this, and he has since ignored all evidence to the contrary.

I personally wouldnt care so much that they supported Trump if they actually spoke facts and used real world evidence combined with actually criticising what he does wrong. But sadly they never do. They act like he is perfect.

Apparently you are dumb now if you have dyslexia...bet you didnt know that one.

Gavin Newsom has said many things which warrant criticism, yet his dyslexia is what is used as evidence to question his intelligence?

I never thought it were possible that millions of grown adults would applaud the rambling, asinine ad hominems of an 80-year-old president, but here we are. What a time to be alive.

Hardly right-wing publications.

There is extensive evidence from multiple independent human rights organizations, international media outlets, eyewitness testimonies, medical staff reports, and even partial Iranian government data that Iranian security forces killed thousands of protesters during the 2025–2026 Iranian protests, with the deadliest phase occurring in January 2026 (earlier this year).

Protests erupted nationwide on December 28, 2025, driven by long-standing grievances over repression, and continued into early 2026. Authorities responded with a severe crackdown, including live gunfire, prohibited weapons, mass arrests, enforced disappearances, and an internet blackout starting around January 8, 2026, explicitly to conceal the scale of violence.

Key evidence includes:
  • Documented death tolls by credible monitors: Groups like the U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) verified over 1,850 protester deaths by mid-January 2026 (rising to at least 6,126 in later tallies), with thousands more names documented but omitted from official lists. Other activists and outlets reported figures exceeding 2,000–7,000 confirmed names, with estimates (from medics and officials) reaching 12,000–30,000 when including disappeared bodies and unreported cases.

    bbc.com +2
  • Testimonies and physical evidence: Medics, morgue workers, and graveyard staff described systematic concealment efforts, including disappeared bodies, mass burials, and piles of corpses at facilities like Kahrizak (near Tehran). Videos and photos (circulated despite the blackout) showed body bags, overcrowded morgues, and wounded protesters denied care. Families were pressured to bury victims quietly without public mourning or accurate death certificates.

    theguardian.com +1
  • Specific incidents and patterns: Security forces received "blank check" orders for lethal force (e.g., during peak clashes on January 8–9). Dozens to hundreds were killed in single events, including over 200 schoolchildren in some reports. Attacks targeted hospitals to detain the injured, and summary executions/torture occurred. This was described as the deadliest repression in decades by Amnesty International.

  • Iranian government acknowledgments (partial): Officials released a victim list admitting some deaths (e.g., around 3,000 in one tally) but claimed far lower totals than independent counts; one Iranian official even referenced at least 5,000 verified deaths in private briefings. State media focused more on security forces killed, but this did not refute protester casualties.

Major organizations like Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the Center for Human Rights in Iran, and the UN experts have documented this as unlawful force amounting to massacres or potential crimes against humanity, based on verified videos, witness statements, and leaks. Outlets including The Guardian, New York Times, BBC, Reuters, CNN, Washington Post, Al Jazeera, and NPR corroborated the pattern through on-the-ground reporting and analysis.

Iran's government disputes the higher estimates and portrays the crackdown as necessary against unrest (noting some officer deaths), but the volume of cross-verified evidence—from videos, medical leaks, family accounts, and activist databases—overwhelmingly supports that security forces systematically killed protesters on a large scale earlier in 2026. Independent verification continues as more information emerges.

ehh you just learn to ignore them now. they are on the wrong side of history by a long way.

i watch a lot of this guy. he is really good with sound points. A british perspective.

The 30,000 figure is at the upper end of estimates for the number of people killed by the IRGC in the latest protests. Nobody knows the true figure. Figures between 7,000-30,000 have been widely published in the media.

I have to give EB credit for this one - that figure is not outlandish, and not plucked from out his backside. The rest of his arguments are ridiculous - but that particular figure is not.

30-40k was the number stated. And there was no dispute from my end that thousands died, but forty thousand? Hmmm...

40,000 is a massive stretch, and you know it. I definitely agree that thousands were reported dead, it was a horrible all round. Let's not talk about Mossad's responsibility in all this, though. An Israeli government spokesperson admitted as much.

Thanks for addressing one paragraph of my post, now you can respond to the rest of it. 😉

Only 7000 deaths are verified. The other estimates have used morgue data. the problem with that is it can incur the same issues that its almost a certainty that a fair majority died of other causes and have been included. But clearly verified isnt the accurate number either it it would be higher. I dont think anyone would disput that. But 30,000 to 40,000 is getting up there to the realms of unlikely.

I wouldn't give him credit for anything. The argument that this war has anything to do with liberating the Iranian people from their barbaric government is completely bogus. If the current regime opened the strait and gave Trump an off ramp where he could look like a winner, he'd take it in a heartbeat.

I have seen numbers that high quoted in the media. It's not a stretch.

How's the regime change going?

What has been the main thing achieved from the billions spent on the war? Fuel shortages, higher fuel costs.

How has anyone's life improved by this war, compare to before?

I await some critical thinking from you...

Whoohoo, the weapons manufacturers are making more money at the expense of the average taxpayer paying more for their fuel & mortgage.

EB must be stoked...

Week 1: “we are going to win and win bigly”
Week 2: “we have already won”
Week 3: “we are still winning”
Week 4: “send help”

His very public dummy spit is a complete embarrassment & just another example he is not fit to be a leader.

Carrying on like a kindergarten kid, which is pathetic.

Amazing that EB & other Trumpites on this board actually think this is good behaviour of a leader.
