it’s tricky and I get the appeal of both but 900k is wild.

You basically have to turn that money + those 3 rookies into 4 premiums to be worth it and your giving up 120 points a week until you spend it.

it also gets much harder to chase points later with everyone at full premo

If I Capt Xerri I'd be top 1k but I didn't.

Your point of giving up 120 pts per week kind of stings me into opting for the first option.
Totally get that I can't make upt too many points agaisnt teams with more primos.
Hell, I could turn Budarick into another Primo but some legends say I should leave Budarick to moo.
Current team with 40 trades.

Duursma is mid only. Bit expensive for me given there's Cook/Watkins this week (if you don't have one), then Scerri/Jones/Lefau next week.

Looks good though, so could be a nice rookie POD against a lot of experienced coaches that didn't go there due to the price tag.

I have the choice to bring in either Naicos or Xerri for Petracca.

Is it overkill bringing in Xerri to have Gawn / English / Xerri / McAndrew floating in R1-R3 and flex, with the downside of Kalani being a dead waste in F8?

Or, concentrate in the midfield bringing in Naicos?

Basically, it feels like I'm blowing things up a little going with Xerri. But a ruck in flex has been a popular starting tactic, just feels different with an uber premo.

For me it's just a suspicion of how much money the current and future batch of rooks will actually make that is giving me pause as to whether or not I should bring in Duursma. Could also bring in Allan.

Basically apart from Jaques, Serong, Jagga, Blamires, McAndrew, Marshall and Dev Rob, I just don't have a lot of confidence in the rookie stock.

Most of those guys will also have to be on my field for quite a while, as I'm running mainly GNR, and don't want to find myself in a situation in a few weeks where I have to field Scerri or Watkins or Sellwood or someone, when they are as likely to drop a 25 as they are to give a good ol fashioned 65.

On the flip side, if I dont bring in Ash, I'll have 575k in my bank this week, and like 650+ if I cull some under performing rooks ( I'm looking at squarely at you, Leo Lombard) for Scerri Lefau and Jones. That's like having an additional uber premo sitting on the pine for all intents and purposes.

Dunno, but I can guarantee whichever option I take will be the wrong one

Chosen Duursma over Watkins and Cook because I think he will score better.

Thinking of changing Ash to another premo defender.

Will hold Petracca to see his situation after the bye but will most likely turn him into Bont.

Edit. Didn't realise Carrolls BE was -11. Might ditch Lombard instead.

Kinda, but it makes no difference buying either. Also I like Ash, he has a good second bye, and im not a huge fan of the defensive options next week.

TBH, not a huge fan of any of the premo options generally bar the rucks (so much for the rucopylpse).

What's everyone think? I am only really confident in Sinclair, Ash, Nas, Whitfield and Clark down back (already got Sinair and Clark). Mids I've got most of the good ones and only really like Anderson and McClugg. I'm coming up blanks on the forward premos (bar Sheez and Flanders, with a watch and hope he drops a bit on Rankin).

Congrats on the great start. Suppose it really depends on your risk tolerance.

Would definitely swap Trac and Buderick so you can trade in any position.

Suppose it depends on your appetite for risk.

The safe move is two premos for 2 premos and boost a rookie correction. (I’d be really interested in Duff Tyler for one of Rosas/lombard given the similar price, opening up the ruck line and already having a spike score)

I’d say acceptable risk is one no bye premo and 1 premium rookie (dursma?) which would leave you with about 400k itb which shouldn’t put you too far behind in points and frees up some flexibility for upgrades

Heaps of mid time last weekend with Young out. Short term, yes, he could explode (he could be $600k soon). But when Young is back he'll go back to 20-40% CBAs which means some low scores. Decent pick, but just be prepared for some 40s, 50s and 60s as the year goes on.

Was beating myself up about not trading Murdock in for sharp, lost some decent points on field. But FM the SC gods gave a fool like me a lifeline. Future downgrade and some trade flexibility.

Watkins over cook for me, couple juicy rookies next week. Good luck all

Did some quick maths, and if I trade Trac, Rozee and Sharp to Lachie Ash, W.Duursma and Cook, I have enough cash next week to upgrade both Parish and Windsor to premiums.

That would mean after 3 active rounds I've traded out 3 premiums due to injury, used 6 trades in total, but have one extra genuine premium in my starting side than I did in round 1.

It feels relatively sensible, but I'll also miss out on Xerri, which makes me pretty apprehensive.

Regardless, this week could be a forced divergence of teams overall, considering all the collective trade possibilities.

We got 5 boost, just use them. We aint saving it for next year. There will be lean weeks where nothing happens as well.
