What do you lot reckon? (esp you GR,)?

That still looks like he doesn't hit his head tho when I first looked at that angle I thought it might have.

Still have to back reference that sentences were being handed out last year (only to us?) on outcome.

If Finn misses, Hayward should miss.

The spin machine will have to work overtime to justify a lack of suspension when a player has suffered a broken jaw.

It was a fair bump from Hayward.
Safe to say the injury happened in another contest.
Is FOS already our most important player?
Nullifies the oppositions best player whilst damaging them going the other way. Star!
If fit to play, would he go to Neale, McCluggage or Ashcroft this week?

ifc hello darkness my old friend GIF

disappointing but shows how tough he is that we didn't know at all during the game.

2 to 3 weeks would be a good outcome. misses games against lions, tigers and maybe giants. should be back for cats.

great if he is back for giants - a winnable game. tigers hopefully we can win without him.

Massive loss, however if it is 2-3 weeks as GR suggested that is hardly doomsday as could have been a lot worse.

Fos has been unbelievable and quickly become one of our most important players, however if we can’t cover a 19 year old in the midfield then we really haven’t improved as much as we think.

Positives for FOS are he will be able to do no contact and stay fit, should not lose much conditioning at all.

It’s not his age, it’s his capabilities.

He’s shown he’s able to render the oppositions best mid basically useless, whilst working offensively as well.

Totally agreed mate, kid is a star.

However time for someone else to step up and play a selfless role for a couple weeks. We have taken plenty of talented midfielders the last few years.

It could have been one of those other incidents that GR just referenced on the last page just before your post i'm quoting.

Byrne and Pittonet.

Still happy for Hayward to get a few weeks if it was.

Very interesting to see who gets his minutes.

Urquhart would have been a good replacement, given the defensive side to his game, but he is injured as well. Outside of him, I can't think of another mid with strong defensive skills (except Wardlaw).
George is obviously a tackling beast, and I thought he showed great discipline in shadowing Cripps (absolutely reemed him at times) but I don't see him picking up more minutes as the club looks to manage him.

Best case scenario is that they give the minutes to Powell, get him to play tight on Ashcroft or Neale, and he surprises everyone by showing levels of discipline and toughness we haven't seen before.

More likely, the load will be spread - we don't play particularly tight on any of their mids - and our midfield looks unbalanced as a result.
