I suspect you would know more about Sanders role, but as someone who has had him in a Keeper League since he was drafted, I cannot trust Bevo to play him in a role conducive to Fantasy. With Liberatore, and even potentially Treloar (what's happening with him) to come back, I would be very nervous about Sanders week to week.

Murphy Reid interestingly has what is likely the most set and confirmed role - half forward with the ability to move up to the stoppage around the ground. Rachele, despite being in my side at the moment, I still have concerns that he eventually reduced his midfield clock - but Rankine is playing so badly at the moment that is not an immediate concern - but could rear its head.

Treloar got pulled out of the VFL game on the weekend due to soreness, so it seems like he’ll be a few weeks away.

But yeah, Sanders hasn’t a had a good role for fantasy in his first two seasons at all.

Sanders will get the midfield run with the injuries but I don’t think you can trust him long term.

Freo have Collingwood, WCE and Carlton in the next 3 which is making me very tempted for M Reid.

I just realised that a double midfield upgrade could still be on..... thanks to Steene and Cook's DPP and McAndrew

English out, swing McAndrew to R2, Steene to R3, Cook to FWD bench and Richards out

A bit short to get Baz in this instance, but could get Bont and Steele in, Harley to M6, Jagga and Duursma the only mid rookies. Oh boy that is mighty tempting

or if i wanted Baz, him and Callaghan or Heeney maybe. Baz and Callaghan in particular have very decent runs coming up and no tag risks, and it then sets up one up one downs nicely from here.

That could be the play points wise.

I thought the time for mid price madness was over

For midfielders it definitely is.

With defence you’ve got genuine value there (Kerch/Newman/Coleman)

With forwards there is a lack of premiums to upgrade stalled rookies to.

English and Richards inj.

Farrow at $415k is a rude price for a guy who's played 2 games. Hard to know what he averages from here.

At this stage:
English -> Grundy
Carroll -> Farrow

Feels like nothing trades though.

The short term rankings play is likely to skip Farrow and move Richards on. Also staring at Anderson/Butters each week continues to bring my grief.

English -> Steene/Edwards
Blakiston -> Ash

Pretty straight forward for me this week.

Wait another week and then potentially Windsor to NWM.

Does McInerney stay as a top 6 forward rest of season? Currently ranked 5th on averages, ahead of Flanders and Rachele. Or are there any midfielders that we see gaining DPP status from Round 6?

At $900k not providing value, and unlikely to go up more from here...ends the season against Port, Essendon and North and an interesting POD (5% ownership in the top 5% compared to Rachele @ 64%) plus Gulden being out helps his scoring potential?

Will be keeping an eye on how he goes, but at $100k cheaper, Rachele and Connor MacDonald offer more value. Just interested in who our F5 / F6 upgrade targets are.

That's a bloody good looking team! Wish mine looked like that.

I'd say either you could jump off Jackson and get to Grundy. I think Grundy can out avg Jackson by 10-15ppg for the rest of the season and it's only costing you $39k this week (although that is very indulgent).

Otherwise, if Goblin is named again you could exit off Dovaston and get across to keep the cash going.

I was pretty set on Gawn being my English replacement but the talk about Grundy has me second guessing, do I stick fat with Gawn? Or do I go for Grundy so I have some more money to play with next week?

Giants fans what is leake's JS. Considering downgrading dov or lombard to him with richmond and north in 2 of his next 3

I hear you, for the last few weeks it's been "hi BE is still on par with his average - not as urgent as others". But the warning sign is blinking loud after a 0pts last quarter. Less nose picking - more ball kicking, please Darcy!

I’m in the same position
Going Grundy will mean I can get NAS and a Washcroft/Heeney type

Going Gawn means NAS and a Newman/Bice next week

I think he's a good POD

Who to move on out of;
Windsor
Marshall
Blakiston
Visentini
Sharp
Windsor - BE 38 - plays Bombers next so can afford to hold
Marshall - BE 9 - could be back as early as this week, was 'in the frame' to return last round
Blakiston - BE 37 - likely to get DPP status from Round 6, is probably the most popluar trade out this week, but will at least hold value (could get butchered by Max though)
Visentini - $549k sitting on the bench and not getting a game at the moment
Sharp - BE 31 - like Marshall is close to return, but does he come straight back in with Farrow playing well?

Seems like Visentini could be the play if you have solid R1 and McAndrew at R2?

Not worth it imo. I always like to think of my trades this time of year as trying to improve the "net keeper" position on your team.

You are going -1 net keeper by downgrading Tim English to a Rookie. On the other side Walsh to Smith is still only a minor upgrade. I'd only ever do the Tim English to a rookie move, if it meant getting another rookie up to someone his price, therefore equalling my net keeper position.
