Oscar Allen stiff not to have the clear mark paid in the first could have had 4 goals

Well done boys. One of the ugliest wins i recall on account of location & weather. Happy to take the points.
That NM guernsey contributed quite a bit to the ugliness too.

Should have called for an ARC review considering it was subsequently called out of bounds! Neal-Bullen did it on Thursday…
Definate mark.
But noooooooooo on a "review"

Is it true that Tom14 is now a fan of Drapes

Getting dangerously close to having to make THE mea culpa post. Thankfully him deciding to quickly play on from a mark in the last 2 mins irritated me enough to stay my hand.

Looked more like Zorkos achilles that they were working on
At least we have a ready made replacement for him in Noah Answerth, also getting the ball in Kiddy's hands more often will cover Zork's penetrating kicks in our back half with aplomb.

If Noah not ready maybe Shadeau Brain gets another go.... Luke Beecken?

Or Reville stays down there and Marshall plays wing but I think we’ll want Reville staying on the wing

Draper and Allen .

Great pickups. Both seem like genuinely good blokes too.

Draper is a beast and Allen is a natural forward.

Bailey and Lachie were great and Harris was calm and assured as ever after that 3 week layoff.

The team still has the tendency to play a bad quarter here and there. We really dropped off in the first after coming out breathing fire and the set shot goalkicking was diabolical at times. Probably playing on a windy suburban park had something to do with it. North fluffed a few too.

As usual, we have the ability and the wont to turn it on when it really counts.

The third quarter intensity lifted and we were excellent in the fourth.

In all, a pretty good win against an improving and very game opponent.

Melbourne copped an upset flogging from the Bummers so we can be sure they will be fired up for us at the G next week.
Another challenging assignment but if we bring our best when it counts we should be too good for them on the proviso we don't kick it in the vicinity of Max Gawn too much. That guy seems to love playing against us.

Other than both being on the shorter side I don't really see how Answerth is a "ready made replacement".
I didn't mean a direct replacement for Zork's playing style which is why in the other part of my post which you edited out I mentioned getting that ball into Kiddy's hands more often will maintain our elite kicking out of the back half.
