Great player for sure, but best in the past 15-20 years is a stretch and extremely biased. You’re right. I can’t make it happen.
He’ll go after he’s wasted the prime of the best footballer in the past 15-20 years.

I like to watch who players chat with after the game. Only seen a little on tv but no one chatted with Smith yet they did with others. Says it all. Anyone at the game see more?Smith is a self absorbed, arrogant, vain, narcissistic piece of crap.
Makes me want to vomit watching the likes of him prattle on about mental health.
this word is doing an awful lot of heavy lifting for the logical conclusions for the rest of your postbecause
This is all relevant - we are screwed by the fixture and a bunch of other things.
But please do not let that distract from the club and its performance.
I'm really disappointed with the performances Cooper Hynes has been putting in at senior level, and tonight was no different.I know people aren’t sold on Coop, but I felt he was better the more responsibility he got. I think Jaques becomes a better wing for us.
We need old Bailey Dale back.
Selwood makes some mistakes but does a lot of good.
Noticed the same thing, Smith got brushed off by our big dogs, there was a lot of sympathy from some of the Geelong players to Darcy, not Smith of course, as a narcissist, sympathy or empathy is not something he is capable ofI like to watch who players chat with after the game. I think Hymes plays a really tough role, and I thought he was one of the few that fought it out to the end.I'm really disappointed with the performances Cooper Hynes has been putting in at senior level, and tonight was no different.
Doing the odd, good thing, in amongst a bunch of horrendous mistakes and long periods of low-level involvement won't cut it for long. He has a lot of work to do on his game before he is a best 23 player in a good team.
He looks like so many other talented footballers, who think it's all going to happen for them in time, but don't work hard enough on their weaknesses and wake up too late to find the parade has passed them by.
If not for all our injuries he would definitely deserve to sent back to the VFL for an extended period.
Jaques and Selwood on the other hand were both good and look like they will be long terms players.
Come on I seem to recall the Dogs wanted the 100 yr game, last season, played at the MCG, to attract a bigger crowd, they could have played it at Docklands, it was their home game. Other clubs ask for their home games to be played at the G, to attract bigger crowds for them, the Saints did it few weeks ago. four teams share the ground, not just the Pies. True, we have not played at Geelong since 1999, but our record there was poor too, I was only making an observation that probably the Cats have the biggest home ground advantage in the League, or at least equal to the swans and Lions. BTW Grand Finals are played on the G, because its the biggest ground, we left Victoria Park for that reason, it got to small. Richmond, Melbourne, Essendon, Carlton, Hawthorn have all won flags there too.Sorry, but hey as a Collingwood supporter what would you know, because your club never plays there it means the Bulldogs are the sacrificial lamb that plays there every ****ing year. When was the last time we had a home game against Geelong, oh yeah, Gather Round, and then we played them again at Cat Park.
The AFL is so ****ed, every game has an expected outcome, because the inequity of the draw, means that the Swans, Geelong, Collingwood, and more recently Brisbane make finals every year, because MCG tenants play each other twice, while we are dealt games like the Gold Coast in Darwin.
Enjoy your premierships, but ask yourself are they fairly earned.
For me, it's getting pumped in the 2019 EF, pumped by Pies in the opening game of the 2020 season amidst all the Covid weirdness, and then getting pumped by St Kilda in the opening game of the restart was all pretty horrific (especially in COVID uncertainty, death around us, turning to footy as the only thing that could distract us etc.). And 0-2 in a 17 game season thinking that we'd be up against it even win the 9 of the 15 or so games to make the finals from there.Absolutely, the fact that we've only played Geelong at Docklands 5 times (12 seasons) in the Bevo era is totally ******, but the ground location was irrelevant tonight, the last 3 weeks should make that clear to everyone. I don't think I've seen us play a worse 10-quarter stretch in the Bevo era.
Cool mate. Maybe we wouldn't need to give up home ground advantage for the financial benefit of doing so if you were willing to share marquee timeslots and be happy to only play 2 MCG away games in a typical year like we do.Come on I seem to recall the Dogs wanted the 100 yr game, last season, played at the MCG, to attract a bigger crowd, they could have played it at Docklands, it was their home game.
If you care to check, the other clubs ask the League to play their home games, against the Pies, on the MCG, for bigger crowds and more cash in the till, the saints did it few weeks ago, that was their home match, but they wanted a packed out G to show off their bevy of hotshot new high priced recruits. The Dogs wanted their 100 yr match played their last season too, for the same reason, ground capacity.Cool mate. Are you going to write to the club president of Collingwood asking if Collingwood can tear up their contract that guarantees 5 of your 11 away games at the MCG?

Hynes is a developing footballer that has enough traits worth persisting with, and is still better than other options even if we didn't have development in mind.I'm really disappointed with the performances Cooper Hynes has been putting in at senior level, and tonight was no different.

Ok, if then a packed out MCG is beneficial to clubs, why don't all Melbourne-based clubs get to play half their home games there, and half at Docklands? Why does Collingwood get to dictate the fact that 14 of their 22 non-Gather Round games get to be at the Stadium? Should the AFL sign a contract with all Melbourne-based teams that they too get to play 14 games a season at the MCG?If you care to check, the other clubs ask the League to play their home games, against the Pies, on the MCG, for bigger crowds and more cash in the till, the saints did it few weeks ago, that was their home match, but they wanted a packed out G to show off their bevy of hotshot new high priced recruits. To think that we'd be the best team in the league essentially 12 months on from that moment too. Shit happens. The club deserves our support either way.
im pretty sure we have played some home games v the dogs at Docklands, last few yrs, I recall that well, and the Saints wanted their home game this season, played at the G, to show off their new high priced recruits.Cool mate. Are you going to write to the Collingwood football club about how unfair the whole system is, and that Collingwood should be a good citizen and do their part and play 3 away games a year against Saints, North and the Dogs every single year, and give up Anzac Day and King's Birthday and 5 MCG away games to do this? If not, your statements mean absolutely nothing except to be patronising in a time of footballing dispair for us.
2-3 chip kicks around the line, Bomb long down the wing. Turnover, Oppo Handball, Missed Tackle, Jezza Cameron marks 35m.Of all the absolute shite that we watched tonight, one thing in particular about how we play is starting to piss me off. The high risk way we chip the ball out of our back half is so predictable. The opposition know exactly what is about to happen and set up for it. High risk 20m kicks across our half back line to players surrounded by opponents. Our players in the back half aren’t generally good enough to hit those kicks.
Yeah, that was the game for our 100 years in the AFL/VFL, which we had to pay the AFL for, and, not just quoting me as a Bulldogs supporter, but numerous commentators including Razor Ray, we got dudded by the umpires and should have won that game, and if we did, we would have made finals last year….Come on I seem to recall the Dogs wanted the 100 yr game, last season, played at the MCG, to attract a bigger crowd, they could have played it at Docklands, it was their home game. Someone needs to teach him the concept of restraint, he doesn’t seem to realise he doesn’t have to be a massive dick every waking moment of the day
