fumbled, rushed, couldn't link passes...this all before the injuries...Cats retain the ball so well...contrast to Bris game where we looked sure and slick from the outset

Of all the absolute shite that we watched tonight, one thing in particular about how we play is starting to piss me off. The high risk way we chip the ball out of our back half is so predictable. The opposition know exactly what is about to happen and set up for it. High risk 20m kicks across our half back line to players surrounded by opponents. Our players in the back half aren’t generally good enough to hit those kicks.
I watched the VFL game. Exact same story. Exact same game plan.
Coaching is the problem. There is no other reason for it.
Our game has been picked apart by Geelong, Hawthorn, and to some degree, Essendon.
Sydney and Fremantle will continue the trend. Upside is we have Carlton in round 10, but they will have a new coach by then.

Its so so tiring to continually see poor decisions made with this team over the last 10 years
one premiership ten years ago and 9 full seasons of crap decisions and bullshit excuses.,

we role our eyes at Trump but continually react to Bevo like rabid MAGA supporters justifying and excusing every off the wall and unhinged decision.

Im going to follow Chris Grant and turn my back on this organisation until this piece of shit in red white and blue is fired along with the CEO and president. I dont give a @#ck how many little sponsors you iron onto your polo you w***ers. F-OFF
Outstanding rant. It's cathartic 🏆

The only logical explanation is that Bevo invited (former) Prince Andrew into the rooms at half time v Essendon which left a sour taste in the players mouth, so he’s then seeked to fix the situation by inviting Harry but it was already too late.

Can't remember a worse game of footy.
Got all my ranting done after the Essendon game so all I want to know is why we haven't played them at marvel the last 7 times?
The league is such a shit show. Imagine Collingwood having to play Freo or Sydney away 7 games in a row. It's seriously own goal after own goal under this admin.

Easiest win for the AFL was to play Smith Infront of the dogs crowd last year and they didn't.

I don't even care that we play down at Geelong but no home games in forever is ridiculous.

I think we’ve swapped the curse with Essendon at half time of that match.

We’ve lost 8 of 10 quarters and they have won 5 of 6. We’ve also picked up about 7 injuries.

Doggies, not many teams win down at that boghole, very rare, the Cats know every blade of grass on that sardine tin shaped ground. God help them when Cameron retires, and Danger, they cannot be replaced.
Really, the same was said about Selwood and Hawkins. Geelong has one of the best recruitment, development and gameplan in AFL.

Has anyone got the average age and games played stats from last night?
Just a bit of a thought, we are very young at the moment and are going to be very inconsistent at times especially with key outs. I will admit I never knew how important English was to our team totally different side without him

Ridiculous to play 4 tall forwards- in the wet and have absolutely no crumbing ability or pace in the forward line.

Then there’s the decision to play Emmett and Croft in the ruck- our poor mids, who are not quick, were forced to chase Smith and Holmes who knew where the ball was getting tapped into.

Then theirs is our defensive transition!!

Worst coaching I have ever seen.

Wonder what the players are thinking of this incompetence?

Not sure on full stats but Geelong had 3 players under 23, we had 8.

Last week average age was 24y 340d and total games 1895. Hawthorn were 26y 202d and 2673 total games

Cannot believe they let that FN arseh*le kick 10 goals on them

Just absolutely weak to let yourselves get spanked like that with no resistance or pride

Totally pathetic and shameful

I really don’t care about our avg age or lack of experience because guess what? It’s not going to change.

The coaching panel, Sam Power, anyone involved with list management can all get in the bin.

There is no reason we should be at this age profile at this stage of our cores development. Negligent, incompetent whatever you want to call it. Our core is all in their prime outside of maybe Darcy, have all been developing together for the better part of the last 6 years. You cannot play this many skinny kids around them and expect that to bridge the gap

Bevo is a rebuilder, it’s what he does

Nailed it. It's his MO, what motivates him.

God I ****ing hate Kane Cornes, going on about Darcy in the ruck after he does his knee at full forward. Hes just literally a ******ed piece of shit.

Also kinda **** Hynes for that Darcy knee, hit a ****ing simple wide open kick and it doesn’t happen.
Going on about Darcy shouldn't ruck because of injury when he did his knee forward is a weird comment, isn't it? Bloke just rehashes the same opinion on repeat.

It was a horrendous decision to implement that game plan on the skinniest ground in the league. Geelong don’t do it, they go wide and switch as much as possible and come inboard forward on centre. Game plan was off, we needed to make it a dog fight if we had any chance.
By the way out of our last 10 matches vs Geelong only 2 have been at Marvel. As a club our leaders needed to demand better. It’s a joke as so much harder for us to make top 4 vs others

We are just a kick it down the line team now. Anytime we try and come through the corridor or switch we turn it over, and I mean every time. Our kicking and decision making is deplorable.

It was comical how Bevo had that really intense quarter time huddle…

Then we start the 2nd quarter with Croft in the ruck, immediately concede a hit out to advantage, can’t catch them because our midfield never sets up defensively, and they goal within 15 seconds.

What did they actually talk about in that huddle?

Has been for sometime our kicking

Exhibit A kicking for goal
