Can’t believe we didnt even get a free when Dangerfield concussed Libba

Bev raising the Mitch Wallis incident and its effect on the performance of the players may have been correct but for me the rot set in well before the injuries occurred. We need to focus on disposal efficiency and turnovers . We were putrid in those areas . As much as I think think Bev made some coaching errors repeatedly missing targets is wholly on the players and they should take accountability for that.
Cannot believe they let that FN arseh*le kick 10 goals on them
Just absolutely weak to let yourselves get spanked like that with no resistance or pride
Totally pathetic and shameful
That's purely on our administration. They should be playing us at Marvel every second year . Just pathetic to continually be bent over like that and just accept it.It was a horrendous decision to implement that game plan on the skinniest ground in the league. Geelong don’t do it, they go wide and switch as much as possible and come inboard forward on centre. Game plan was off, we needed to make it a dog fight if we had any chance.
By the way out of our last 10 matches vs Geelong only 2 have been at Marvel. As a club our leaders needed to demand better. It’s a joke as so much harder for us to make top 4 vs others

That is the type of loss that could potentially sway Butters to Geelong over us I'm disappointed to admit.
Go watch the after game interview. He was almost at pains to remove himself from the discussion.
He went straight to wishing the dogs players who were injured well. And then went on to talking about metal health.
He could have easily just accepted the basic questions and accepted gratitude about himself.
He pushed the other way.
It's ok to hold a grudge. After all he's one of the best players in the comp now (and I knew zero about him until we stole him).
But a grudge is just a place to park your car.

Fair effort in a low scoreCertainly wasn't his best game, but it was nice to see Croft get on the end of a couple in the 2nd half. Hopefully he takes that into his next game.
Speaking factsTonight had nothing to do with injuries
Game was over before those set in
Out coached again
Yet we let teams get to halfway for fun and don't try to create forward half turnoversEven stranger when Bevo was going on and on in last week's post-match and the weekly presser about Hawthorn scoring too easily from forward half turnovers, only to let Geelong get 5 goals from that source by QT, I believe the most by any team in a quarter since 2014.

I have a theory that the stupid bye came at the worst time. 16 days off then a soft game v ESS. Players weren’t hardened for the season yet and that’s why all the soft tissue stuff. Will in my most pessimistic mood I never expected such a shite loss, injuries to our two heart and soul players Darcy and potentially career ending to Libba, from two club player Dangerfield no less.
The two heads clapping two club player Cameron, playing against a club with so many injuries like he is a hero. And cheering two club player Smith ( like if they had a #7 themselves like a Jye Clark he would be so good he would be playing)
Anyway enough of the small town club, we are effectively stuffed this year, Lobb, Libba, Darcy, JOD all injured, what the fucj has our conditioning team been doing, we are only up to round six!
Maybe this year we bottom out, scoop the draft, including El Souki, Cooney and West and get back our injured players in a softer draw (whatever the **** that is considering our draw this year, after not making finals in 2025) to make a charge for 2027.

Nope - agree whole heartedly. Add in Footscray playing every second week and there is no consistency or hardening of players to replace injuries so then they get injured. It’s realInjuries before the bye : 2 (Jones & Lewis)
Injuries after the bye : 7 (Jones, English, Richards, Darcy, O'Donnell, Libba, Lobb)
I knew the early season bye was going to screw out momentum up but I never thought it could have an impact injury wise.
Or am I just looking for excuses?
I was gonna blame dogwatchTerrible night for the club and supporters.
Didn’t go in expecting a win but thought we might put up a fight. Some of those decisions were under 12s stuff. Stupidity at its finest. Some average VFL players out there.
The team defence has disappeared the last 2 weeks
As for the injuries, you couldn’t fear worse.
I do take some blame though. I’m usually in Thailand for a short period most years visiting family. Dating back last 5 years we are 0-9 when I’ve been in Thailand
Even as far as playing west Coast at gather round on Norwood Oval that has similar dimensions to their shit holeBecause the AFL is corrupt, and Geelong seem to get a soft draw every year.
Was thinking the same thing as yet again we were getting smashed. And looking a million miles off being a legitimate contender. That is the type of loss that could potentially sway Butters to Geelong over us I'm disappointed to admit.
I know you are trying to be nice…but I think we know every blade of grass on that field too. Your Pies on the other hand don’t even know where Geelong is. Once in 27 years. That is a disgrace and no matter why people say about bigger clubs etc, you still should have to front up there at least once every 5 years if the AFL is serious about equality.Doggies, not many teams win down at that boghole, very rare, the Cats know every blade of grass on that sardine tin shaped ground. God help them when Cameron retires, and Danger, they cannot be replaced.
Was thinking the same thing as yet again we were getting smashed. And looking a million miles off being a legitimate contender.
And that's why Cats perennially are contenders because they add known top end talent for relative peanuts. Which ends up a self fulfilling prophecy.
Another example of the strong getting stronger at the expense of the bottom echelon of teams.
The BS of commentators prattle on about how well run they are is absolutely sickening.
Rant over
