i think we were playing a midfielder or two too many anyways, especially since both tsatas and parish cant play anywhere else

just looked at teams.

Not sure why they like to fake everything but it’s genuinely baffling. Hopefully it’s meant to look like:

Def: McKay Reid Kondo farrow Roberts SEH + one of Langford/Prior

Mids: Merrett Caldwell Durham McGrath Sharpe

Wings Dursma, Day wicks + Langford/prior

Forwards Cox, Caddy, Edwards, Robey, Nguyen, Gresham

That’s one of the more physically competitive sides Scott could have picked… assuming this is the plan

Edit: other thoughts.
Robey may also get a run through the middle as the 6th/burst mid

Langford probably stays on the wing as Prior stays in the backline to ensure continuity when Redman returns next week.

I hope Brad gives Sharp and Robey on ball time with Tsatas and Parish out now but knowing him he's going to park them on HFF for 40% of the game again. Great development Brad. Real nice.
And we'll run with Merrett, Durham and Caldwell who along with Parish have us sitting 16th in clearance differential and 17th in centre clearance differential against the team that's 1st and 2nd respectively in those areas.

1 mid too many last week (should’ve either left Gresham in or brought in Nguyen) but now we’re a mid short against arguably th e best midfield in the comp

Amazing team selection work again.

Can we throw everything at getting pendlebury coaching us in 2028 so we don’t have to keep seeing this shit.

2028? Won’t he have another 5 years of playing still left at that time?

Tsatas very unlucky. Needs a run of games, esp with no Parish.

Caldwell, Prior, Blakiston very lucky.

Glad we didn't risk May though

Would have liked to see Tstatas play more. Personally, I did not think he ticked off anything as far as outside run or being a bit more physical and he was 100% worse than Parish last Saturday as far as defence goes. His kicking was better in two of the games. 3 games doesn't really give a big enough sample size in my view. Pretty clear he is heading out the door.

Caldwell only had 25% CBA last week, so I suspect he is in line for more midfield time. Needs to find. He has been poor.

Will be interested in how Cox goes. They better have him in line to play forward. Would be totally stupid to put him on the wing again.

Gresham in. Yawn. Would have preferred Unwin but I guess they want to see a bit of a run in form rather than 1 good game.

Robey probably a bit lucky.

Good to see Ngyuen in.

Also good that Kondo is getting another look.

At least a couple of young blokes have come back in.

Not by my count
Merrett McGrath Caldwell Durham + Sharp and Robey who were both drafted to be midfielders.

As much as I hate to say it and it does not inspire me, they will probably give Gresham a few midfield rotations as well.

was on the cards after his tog was dropped from 75 to sub 60. have no idea why tho. far from the worst midfielder out there for us
He was fumbling a lot & constantly got sucked into the contest and left his man free. He certainly wasn’t alone with a poor game, and I’d have persisted with him, but if this is an area of his game that Scott wants to see him improve, I get it.
