A couple more to your list:

1. West Indian Andy Ganteaume. 112 in his one and only test innings (WI vs England, 1947).
2. New Zealander Rod Redmond. 107 & 56 in his only rest (NZ vs Pakistan, 1972/73)

Ganteaume was a dour batsman and didn't score quickly enough for the liking of the Windies selectors and apparently this is why he was only selected once for the Windies.

After Redmond's 1st test, he was selected for the 1973 NZ tour of England. But he experienced issues with his eyesight and it was on that 1973 tour he experimented with new contact lenses which didn't help.

He didn't play a test on that tour nor thereafter. He missed the entire 1973/74 NZ summer and 2 years later he was gone from 1st class cricket altogether.

Clarrie Grimmet took 44 wickets in his last test series against South Africa in 1935/36, including 13-for in his last-ever test. Controversially, he was was not selected for the next Ashes series in 1936/37 or the English tour in 1938 supposedly because either:
a) Bradman didn't like Grimmett.
or
b) the selectors preferred Frank Ward, and Bradman still didn't like Grimmett.

44 wickets as a 44 year old. Ridiculous longevity.

Broad the most unlucky to miss, Jonson probably 5th in line quick and Harris after them, with Lyon the next spinner in.

Openers in the 1998 side, Gayle and Sehwag.

Wouldn't be a dull moment with those two at the crease.

Bruce Yardley probably would have played again but retired when he didn't get selected for the 83 World Cup in England (the fourth time in five years he didn't get selected to go to the UK).

Leaving out the second highest run scorer in Ashes Tests in the 21st Century is an interesting take from the positional lock.

Although at 6 Mitch Marsh with a batting average of 47 and a bowling average of 29, economy of 3.82 and strike rate of 46.5 covers Stokes. The only place Stokes gets him is in total runs and wickets from 29 matches instead of 10. And the number of 50s, 10 vs 1. Centuries wise is 4 for Stokes vs 3 for the Bison.

Your bowlers don't hang onto order position, because Warney never batted at 10, and he probably wouldn't in this team either.

Punter and Broad picked almost the same 11 prior to the last Ashes but Root at 4, Smith sliding to 5 and Hussey out, and Broad instead of Mitchell Starc.

His average is prohibitive. Ponting averages 46 overall, Smith 56, Hussey 59. You could also put Pieterson in ahead of Root as well. So not only would I not have him in the middle order, I would have another bat ahead of him.

Marsh vs Stokes I'm not really fussed on. I can see arguments for either.

Bowlers batting position is pretty irrelevant. The order was important for the bats but there's no way Warne bats ahead of Starc and Cummins. Both are much superior bats to him.

Broad vs Starc is an argument but I'm taking Starc.

Spot on, there weren’t any Bangladesh or Ireland players on cricinfos list so I ended up using two players from different modern countries within the West Indies to make up for it
