The only good thing about this selection is that it exposes Nicks as a coach who is void of ideas and imagination and lacking in knowledge of his extended squad.

Who had Edwards as being dropped at the very first opportunity on their bingo card?
In true Nicks fashion, he will blame the selection committee

You can hear the hunger is still there
Didn’t someone on here the other day Simpson said he wasn’t sure he wanted to coach again?

I don’t know what he thinks he’s going to achieve with this game plan
No one does.

He's a ****ing idiot welded to the same game plan that failed in 2020, the first half of 2024, and finals last year, and was still so convinced it was because of our player shortcomings, that we trained it all re-season and killed our rebound from defence and all of our confidence. While the rest of the league moved on and adopted to the rule changes much better.

Nicks meets the definition of insane because he's pushing the same mistake over and over again, and expecting a different result.

Throw in Burgess leaving us, and all of a sudden we are striking a whole lot of soft tissue injuries even quicker than the shitshow that happened under Burton and Hass (that at least took just over a year to ferment into the evil brew it became) and so here we are.

It's like picking out the worst of 2018 (minus the camp), 2020, and 2024 and throwing all that shit together to make the most vomit-worthy concoction they are expecting us all to swallow.

**** off.

Boys got it done but this game was not a good showing from Nicks.

My question is why when so many players were gassed, and talking about needing extra rests and not getting them, did we only use 63 of our 75 rotations?

Rotating your players so they’re as fresh as possible has got to be a basic of coaching surely. If it wasn’t for Cook’s goal we’d have lost from running out of legs, despite having 12 rotations up our sleeve.

We had two injuries on the bench
