Hard to look at history when the last meeting was over 2 decades ago!

TP will start to balance out soon after a few rough years. Still missing 4 of top 8 or so.
I find it amazing that TP managed to keep themselves going at a goodish level for a long time with Oak Park pissing distance away.

Do they eventually find themselves in the EDFL?

Didn’t take long for the wheels to be falling off at NB
NB will have a tough year on and off field.

They are playing their home games out at Jacana while Allard Park is being resurfaced - which has now blown out to the entire season (they were originally supposed to be back on it mid season). They are still using Allard for social events but it doesn't make it easy to get players to come back to the rooms when every game is effectively an away game.

I didn't realise it was that long but Powerhouse are looking ok and have won the Paul Edwards cup he was a gun for both sides!

Any suprises @ this stage???
As of the end of Round 3
I reckon powerhouse needs to play Elsternwick, Canterbury, etc before you can really get a gauge on where they're at.
Will take shape over next few weeks.

I mean he had the Cobras last.

You're looking at a finals series consisting of Canterbury, Elsternwick, PH and SM I'd say. Only surprise is Cobras knocking off Wicks so far, IMO. Plenty to come back into the Wicks though I hear and same with House, 7-8 premiership players to return for them.

Do they have any links to junior clubs? As I believe that school links dont count in non VAFA comps
St Francis in the EDFL is their Junior club. Currently have u8/10/12/14 sides. Player numbers & Auskick have boomed over last 24 months. EDFL have disregarded them as a club for years knowing they feed into a VAFA club.

You have whispers on something we don’t know?

They have struggled to retain/recruit players for years now. Was once a powerful club 10 or so years ago
I was informed by a committee member at an EDFL Club that an attempt to join the EDFL was made last year. Although informal at this stage it was still rejected.

As mentioned Canterbury have stolen/recruted 😱😜😜some excellent players from OI.

One of the better forwards hasnt played yet, but Cleary and especially Fillipis can seriously play.

Can't forget about the recruitment of Rob Ritson from De La Salle. Only just warming into the season and already put in some stellar performances down back.

Went down to Elsternwick on Saturday afternoon and was very impressed with this young man. Ran the show and was very composed down back. Smoky pick for the league Bnf for me, and also great to look at 😉

He played a number of games in Premier last year and Prem B the year before. You'd think he'd be able to find his feet in Div 2.

Very serviceable player at De La, just couldn't hold down a regular spot in the 1's.

Good to hear he's doing well.

Not like Canterbury hasn’t done well out of dairy bell in the past…

Caught the first half of TP & MHSOB after watching my nephew get a win in the reserves.

Gordon #3 & Tarran #22 for TP the clear standouts in the back half controlling all play. Hellier #42 for MH is a serious footballer and is wasted as a deep Fwd, would be a great CHF or Bigger Wing. Clarke #6 influences also.

As for the remainder of D2. Top 4 looks set in stone already! Canterbury are my new flag favourites.

Marchese did not feature for Elsternwick and if they are to do anything - they need him.
