well I sat through it, not really sure why.
There were a few nice passages of attacking play, and the kids are at least looking ok (Sharp and Robey in particular), but we seem to have no idea what defensive pressure is.
Duzz, Wright and Caddy all very good.
Would have liked to have seen more out of Duursma

Scoreboard looks bad. But I’m encouraged by Robey and Sharps performances. Hopefully we keep playing them through the midfield for the rest of the year.

Durham, Wright and Caddy were excellent.

On a positive note, some young players look like they have something to work with. Robey, Sharp, Nguyen and Day-Wicks got involved and looked to make some things happen. Durham had a good game. Some players need to get better, Reid needs to be better 1:1. Not sure what Cox's role was masking Andrews, but then won't lead to get involved. Gresham had no impact.

Positive: Wright, Robey, Durham, Sharp, Caddy and Cox getting a goal.

Negatives: basically everything else.

Langford is cooked, perhaps Caldwell since he can play no more than 6 games without some form of injury.
McKay is shot mentally.

Nguyen I think can be a good complimentary player like Kondo

Yeah im not as "throw toys out of cot" as last week. This was about par considering they clicked into gear last week and we are so inexperienced.
We fought hard at the contest and blew alot of gettable shots but they were clinical with their ball use, they usually are.
Some really promising signs from robey/sharp and for all the talk about morris being "only 20 and kicking 3.3" caddy is also only 20 and kicked 3.5 despite getting shithouse delivery into the 50 vs what morris was getting.

My main gripe though is what is the point of our defensive zone? Week after week we just give up so many uncontested marks so it doesnt matter what we do at the contest, its game over if the other team gets an intercept possession. Is Solomon in charge of this aspect of our game?

I expected to feel worse. Was planning on turning the TV off after the first quarter but ended up watching the whole game. Felt like 2016 - looking for the mini wins and there were enough of these to keep me invested.

He was leading clearances for us in the VFL. Which means only one thing.

He'll be dropped from the VFL and playing with Tippa in Merbein next week

Whatever zone we are training it is not working. Teams just run the ball out uncontested.

Brad needs to study how the Pies lock it in.

Kids tried (loved the efforts of Saady, Robey and Dyson)
NATE CADDY WE DON'T DESERVE YOU - but that kicking motion and action NEEDS WORK
2MP did a good job albeit he should have againt IMO 2 not A grade ruckman
Duz was trying his guts out - Nguyen showed enough to keep his spot
We are just shot confidence wise and not enough leaders leading by example in terms of commitment

FUN FACT the "top ups" of 2016 conceded only 13 points more in total to Round 8 in comparison (we've conceded 782 points so far and the top ups after round 8 had conceded 795) than this ACTUAL LEGIT AFL SENIOR LIST - and they were tring their guts out and it was just a lack of skill - we have a LACK OF EFFORT
