Rachele intentionally went to ground when he didn't need to, what is the Richmond player meant to do there?

I know Crows fans normally get the shit end of the stick and you probably win anyway because Richmond suck, but kidding if you think that was a correct call.
someone going to ground doesnt mean you can collect them high, what on earth

He could have gone for the ball. The Richmond player was running flat out and did not bend down to pick up the ball or slow up to tackle at all.

Rachele did play for it but he’s entitled to bend over to pick the ball up.

If the Richmond player put his hands down going for the ball he likely would have got there first and would have been fine.
That’s exactly what I said.
I know haha, I was agreeing with you

More addressing what other people were saying

Levi says hi

I must have missed Levi rolling around on the ground like he’d been shot and then doing a phone celebration after he kicked the goal.

Anyway, I really like what Nicksy is doing with the crows. Strong future ahead for the Crom.

Geez crows worst game of the season but still win by 40. Tough times ahead for the Tiges.
I'm happy just to see signs. Did alright for a half against the team that finished 1st last season.

Get our injuries right, get games into the kids and these gaps should start closing.

He slid and went low. Very poor technique. It wasn't even a bump or tackle, Campbell just ran into him while running.

By the rule, it is a free. It's just not great to see, especially with the carry on after

He’s meant to go for the ball, you moron.

Watch the replay and pay attention to the Richmond player not Rachele.

He runs completely past the ball and goes to put his hip into him ,

Exactly, didn’t want to get a hard ball for 20 seconds beforehand then went looking for a cheapie
You obviously weren't watching the game. Rochele contested the ball several times while chasing it for 25 or 30 meters. Went to ground to get the ball and got hit high. Unlucky for the Richmond player, if he zigged instead of zagged would have missed the head but that is the risk if you are second to the ball and don't go for it.

I'm not arguing the free kick, but how did he run completely past the ball when Rachele had the ball before Seth got to him?

What ? Rachele was reaching out for ball with his arm fully stretched . Campbell could did not even touch the ball despite it closer to him

The evidence that the Crows benefitted from the Softest Draw of All Time in 2025 and might not be that good is starting to accumulate.
That’s patently bullshit.

Geelong had double-ups against only two of the top ten teams. Adelaide had three double-ups against finalists. (Yes, Brisbane had it very tough).

I 100% agree.

Poor technique from both players really.

Rachele’s attack on the ball was soft, if Campbell attacked it correctly he would have won it easily and probably hurt Rachele fairly.

Campbell just ran through him for some reason so it had to be a free.

It’s just not good from Rachele’s health either. Just turning your head into oncoming players & going so low to make contact unavoidable is a great way to tally up head knocks.

Seriously hope the Crows hierarchy are saying yep good stuff Josh you got the kick but don’t put your head down like that. Serious Neck or head injury waiting to happen.
