List Mgmt. 2026 Draftee/NGA/FS Discussion

Article provides a brief description of the most likely draft hopefuls from the WA Colts system - including the following West Coast Father/Sons and NGA tied players listed below:

The son of two-time premiership Eagle Drew and younger brother of St Kilda draftee Charlie, Harper is hoping to become the Banfield’s latest AFL star. He’s smaller than his brother, but he’s a competitor with elite endurance. His sprinting and agility have also improved significantly in the last six months, suiting a half-forward, midfield role.
Farmer is out for revenge in 2026 after missing Claremont’s premiership. The West Coast NGA prospect kicked nine goals from seven games as a bottom-age player and he was also a train-on with the State 18s quad.
The son of 2006 West Coast premiership player Michael, Noah is a goalkicking midfielder-forward who has had some big games for Claremont last year. Is pushing to make WA’s 18s squad after missing out on the summer training block.
An attacking halfback who is part of West Coast’s Next Generation Academy, Kenh announced himself as one to watch a couple of years ago after winning WA’s MVP award at the Under-16 national championships. Originally from Liberia in West Africa, Kenh takes the game on with his speed and agility. He’s also trained with West Coast as part of national academy commitments.
Exciting, agile and crafty, McGlade is everything you want in a small forward. The Eagles NGA prospect likes to take the game on with his run and carry, making him one of the Royals’ most exciting players to watch. Kicked five in one game last year and will be hoping another good start to the year will cement his spot in the state squad.
Is linked to West Coast as an NGA prospect and the Eagles would be pleased with Lee’s development. The developing tall has grown a few centimetres of late and grown into his body. His athleticism has been on show at summer squad training, finishing third in the running vertical leap at pre-season testing.
Another Eagles NGA prospect, Ketchup isn’t just another condiment. The electric forward has an unbelievable work rate, clean skills and he always knows where the goals are. Ketchup plays his best footy at half-forward, but he can also push into the midfield when needed.
The West Coast NGA prospect missed most of last year with a stress fracture in his back but made an impact in the last four games of the season. Perera has been training with the State summer squad and his smarts and speed make him one to watch.
The West Coast NGA prospect is known for his speed, power and X-factor. The Karratha product played in the State trial game recently and will be one to watch this year.
Not mentioned in the article, but is a potential KPD from Swan Districts in our NGA who was on the radar of some posters last year

If we don't take a key defender in the MSD I'm gonna spew everywhere. Someone's gonna need to tap Edwards on the shoulder too, three concussions in three games? Sorry, my guy, but you're le cooked.
The saddest part for Edwards is that he didn't even make it out of the first quarter of his last two AFL level games.

Due to the medical process they have to go through he won't open a spot for us as they won't be through all the steps in time. He'll want to be medically retired i imagine to get various benefits, and that will take time.

An incredible, dominant performance from Noah Braun who just kept on finding the footy all over the ground and was by far the major factor in a strong win for Claremont. Its not often that we get a 50 disposal game at the junior level, especially given the shorter length of quarters. Noah was pretty strong in the contest, but found most of his footy on the outside, his opponents unable to keep up with his running power as he continually popped up in space all over the field. Like any 50 disposal game not all of his touches turned to gold, but he was creative in the forward half for Claremont, setting up a number of scoring opportunities and slotting home a couple of goals himself.

We can still put him on the LTI list for the season to say he won’t be back this year. Still leaves time for that process and doesn’t put a line through his career.

Yep, 100% the right thing to do. Have the rest of the year off, go to the afl panel ect.

Take another pick at the msd and see how it plays out.

Bloody VFL changing the rules just when we get our Ablett Jnr, Daicos type ;)

Kicking wasn’t great but link up and run from stoppage was impressive

Elite work rate, disposal not so much. Looking forward to seeing if he can back it up.
Love the romanticism of the father/sons

That’s good to hear. Does anyone know why he’s still playing Ressies? I see they’ve playing Jennings-Hopkins in the backline, who wouldn’t appear to have the same experience as Clancy.

Pretty hard to break into a team thats undefeated with a % of 194.

The Claremont league team is going gang busters at the minute and Coaches are always reluctant to change a winning formula.

I think its a reflection on how well the league side is doing , rather than a slight on Clancy's ability.

I had the C on him

Is Clancy worth a shot, had a strong 2024 colts season. MSD.
Is he developing as more a 3rd tall than KPD, his game numbers are very big for someone playing a KPD role?
Really late birthday so probably should be regarded 2025 draft age group.

Big numbers again from Lachie Hicks who can find a stack of it when he's in the mood to dominate. He had some longer stints in the forward line as the game progressed and looked dangerous down there, flying for his marks and kicking four goals for the game. Hicks can cough the ball up under pressure and his disposal early wasn't great but overall, this was a strong performance in a big win for his team.

He'll absolutely want to carry on if he can. I don't think its a certainty that he'll have to retire, although it is definitely possible.

Just basing this hope on: Mini saying he was in good spirits in the rooms; him taking an absolute whack and nearly being cleared; him looking like he was still with it when leaving the pitch despite the blood pissing down his face.

I suspect he won't have a choice - this sort of repetition in such a short period surely is a red flag for the doctors.

What will really be interesting is when the same thing happens to a superstar in a few years and the AFL finds a way to contort around it.

With Richmond having the first pick Marcus Herbert appears to be shaping to be the first pick however they are also looking at Jaxon Artemis apparently.

Ollie Griffin was discussed as first pick but will need to do more at vfl next two games to get that.

If eagles take three picks I reckon they will take key defender from Coburg first Tom Barnett (if Herbert is not available) and the WA paper is reporting Kane Bevan is the midfielder of interest to eagles who would be the second pick. GWS have interest in Bevan but don't have a pick, there list manager said in a interview that the talent this year is lean. Benefit to that is players can be offered 6 month contracts as the demand is less.

Would love to see eagles take a third pick if list spots prevail and this be a high half forward. Jackson Voss has been spoken about as a player of interest previously with west coast he is a big body.the wa vs sa clash will be interesting this weekend. Keen to see if Zac Mainwaring steps up in this game and if he does he could be a look for our third pick.

Marlin Corbett has looked comfortable in the middle for Subi this year.

big frame, big engine, tough, efficient footballer.

22 190/90

great tackle count too

followed his progress back as a 17yo in our VFL side.

watched a few replays this season, when he tackles, they stay tackled.

hes a big presence at stoppages. near Yeo-sized. really clean hands in tight, kicks long and low, runs all day.

Only two rounds left until the MSD

We have pick 4 on current ladder positions although I’m not sure if Carlton have a list opening. Richmond and Essendon will both be able to open a spot up if they choose

Carlton play the Bulldogs then Port (in Adelaide)
Essendon play Fremantle and Richmond play St Kilda before those two teams meet the following week in what will determine last place going into the MSD

We aren’t likely to beat either GWS or Collingwood so will be overtaken by the winner of Essendon v Richmond. Carlton will also leapfrog us if they win one of their two matches

So we will likely have pick 2 (or 3 of Carlton do open up a spot)

And given the news that Cripps has avoided an ACL, we probably have 2 picks rather than the 3 we thought was going to be inevitable

Might be back to only one pick the way Mini was talking

Whilst I don’t think either Cripps or Edwards will be placed on the LTI list, I do think that because both players will be unavailable for extended periods, along with Jack Graham, we can and should utilise both picks

Surely the club puts both Harry and Crippa on the LTI anyway? I can't see why they wouldn't, unless it would upset the players.
