List Mgmt. 2026 Trade and List Management Thread

Usually we would have a delistings page up and running at this time of year but I can't seem to find one. Interested to hear what others think will happen at year end, below is my best guess.

I assume we have to turn over a minimum of 5 players from our list prior to any income trades, based on Arch and Thredgold returning from LTI injury list plus the need to take 3 to the senior list. Looking likely this could be just father and son and academy picks so unlikely need to serious draft capital.

Assumptions:
1. One of Pink and Corr is retained. This might be incorrect if we go out and get a Ballard or Butts.
2. Goater and George get another year to see if their current continuity can parlay into senior football in back end of 26 and into 27.
3. Hansen and Harvey are interesting. Hansen has attributes that are clearly good enough for AFL football and Harvey has improved sharply since going to half back. Both probably need to play senior football in back half of the year to earn another year.
4. Urqs gets another year based on need and a good pre-season - probably need to see him play a little more at any level in the back half of this year.
5. Much to the chagrin of many on here i think LMac gets another contract, been decent this year in an improving backline.
6. Banch and Griffin at stiff for different reasons but there are going to be some hard calls made at years end.

Rather * and Carltank merge so I save money when I go and throw rotten eggs to alleviate some of my hatred towards them…

Merge Hawks too but somehow those slimy dogs would somehow weasel themselves into a better deal

We'll need to find a couple more to delist or trade out. We are two over already with Blamires and Griffen, and will look to at least bring in the three academy/fs kids, a first rounder and a player. For that to happen, the fewest players we need to cut or trade is 7. Eight or nine is more likely.

Paying out Fisher and trading Powell seem good options to me. Harvey and Hansen are also possible cuts if we need the space.

Thinks it's us or the Dogs.

I reckon the Dogs will battle here, they won the race to Budarick last year and if they do get Butters in the cash will be tight (Butts will command 900k plus as a free agent).

If we get a fit and a back 6 of

Chom, Butts, Goater, Archer, Hardeman and Daniel with Logue, McDonald and Kerch as depth it would be a vastly improved back line.

Also facilities at North are here nor there. To much is made of equipment for that. Going to specialist facilities for recovery options also not the worst… honestly biggest thing the club needs to do for the players is fix the parking situation

I think both Corr and Pink will be moved on. B George needs a big finish to the season and perhaps find some more footy. Think Powell will be shopped at seasons end.

Thinks it's us or the Dogs.

I do hope we lose this race.

Can see a world where we offer this ok player the most by $75K and Brady is extended 2 years for excellent management.

Someone please confiscate and hide Brady's phone immediately.

Outside of Wilson, I can't see much else I want, maybe Weitering or Walter if we go unbelievably well in 2nd half of this year.

If Butts commands 900k we'll probably be buying loaves of bread with money-stacked wheelbarrows by this time next year
