Love you, Bunga.
Well done to the man child on becoming the first Eagle to 300 games this week. For a quiet and unassuming person, he sure has racked up some honours in his time.

Whilst Shannon Hurn is Central Districts most famous Eagles player, others such as Sam Butler and Jonathon Giles also hail from the club...
A brilliant time to do it and one of the club's best captains. Absolute legend. Thanks Bunga.

Obviously because he was snubbed last year means they automatically have to make up for it this year and hand it to him, tHaTs hOw It wOrKs rIghT??????
Sorry mate but we don't hand people things like that like Gold Coast are handed priority picks every year.
...AA team.
Seven of our players have been named in the All Australian squad, which is the most of any team in the squad:
* Elliot Yeo
* Shannon Hurn
* Luke Shuey
* Jeremy McGovern
* Brad Sheppard
* Andrew Gaff
* Jack Darling
Out of our players, I reckon Yeo, Sheppard, McGovern and Darling...
Congratulations to Gov, Hurn, Yeo and Gaff on making the squad: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-08-27/revealed-the-all-australian-squad-for-2018
Hopefully they should all be named in the final 22.
...career stats for our players today, and I never realised that our captain is 6 games shy of 250 (although he won't reach it this year). Given Hurn's impressive durability (despite looking like a 50 year old his entire life) and the fact he's having a career best season at 30, could his...
As we all saw Hurns left quad, while flexed, made contact with Honeychurches torso at turtle speed.
Honeychurch was stretchered off.
He will be missed.
So how many weeks does Hurn get for not being a squib?
There is a poll :moustache:
I noticed recently that Shannon Hurn played in the 2004, 2005 grand finals for central district. He must of been around 16-17? Was he that good or just lucky? Some shed some light for me
Apologies if there is another thread for this but I haven't seen anything about our captain playing game number 200 this weekend.
Glad he chose football and I hope we can reward him with game 201 the next weekend.
Post your favourite memories of Bunga here.
...Hodge, Selwood ... guys that could/can lift their team when they needed a boost, or do things to change the game.
I honestly don't think Hurn is the right guy. He is too reserved, too concerned about being the nice guy and Mr Reliable. Sure he savaged a couple of Port blokes earlier in the...
Both full backs/defenders who were/are captains, just wonder how you would compare the two as players, so far? Glass is a bit taller, but Hurn can play pretty tall, and both are booming kicks (especially Hurn) who could rebound it out of defensive 50 with ease, although one could argue Glass had...
Why aren't we talking about Shannon's dreadful form over the past 18 months?
Needed to step up last week and went to ground (literally) again.
New drinking game - take a sip (do not skull or you will die) every time the captain goes to ground or doesn't stick a tackle.
Giddy up. Hurn has signed until the end of 2018 and Priddis until the end of next year.

...opinion on this the longer the season has gone on.
Looking back 12 odd months ago, i confess that i wasn't really keen on the appointment of Hurn as skipper. My concern being that i see him as an offensive weapon we really weren't using enough to great effect, and that the added...
I know, I know. More toasts than a Luke Hodge pre-game session, but I had to make one more for the skipper.
Ive been a bit down on bunga this year because I think he's capable of more- he turned it on tonight in a huge captains game, set the tone from the outset and marshaled the defence like...
West Coast have just unveiled their new captain, Hurn was the obvious succesor to Glass, both are known for being tremendous players when they are void of a direct opponent.
Lets hope that he can lead West Coast out from the depths of mediocraty and back to being a respectable club.
Shannon...
I'd like to congratulate Bunga on receiving the captaincy. I think it's an excellent choice for captain, my first pick personally.
Leave your toast for our new captain here.
I noticed Hurn has recently started to thin at the crown area. This would indicate given his receding temples he is headed for a horse shoe.
When do we expect for him to be a chrome dome?
I am betting season 2016, unless he gets himself on propecia and rogaine or does a Wayne Rooney.
Hard...
Firstly, I don't think we give Shannon hurn enough praise for his shots at goals. He rarely misses. When ever he gets it from outside 50 I can usually say he will 100% make it. What is his goal accuracy in front of goals?
