The sports, and entertainment industries have been working on this since April. Plans are well advanced.
Assuming there is no major second wave, we will see at least 25% capacity by finals. For example, cinemas can operate at about 30% capacity next month. Footy can do the same.
Close off...
So your opponent will get a six day rest. After stating that the whole reason for having Tiges v Hawks on a Thursday was to give finals opponents and equitable rest? Hard to believe even by AFL standards.
P.s. 2012 the last time the top team got the zest PF.
Any news on whether Tigers will get the Friday prelim or Saturday? Top team usually get the Friday (not always though), but unusually this year having the 1 v 4 QF first suggests you may get the Saturday PF.
P.S. have never seen a team as well drilled as the Tiges. Especially your backline...
It is a real thing. A few Hawks fans I know were happy to skip the early finals and even the prelim and just go to the GF. It does get expensive. I worked out over 2012 - 2015 I spent more than $7,000 to take my family of four to all Hawthorn finals including GFs.
A few more thoughts from a very lucky Hawk fan who has been to the odd GF...
There are no emailed tickets, you need to collect from Ticketek. Picking them up is like winning tattslotto. Go with your kids and Treat tickets like gold. Don't post pictures of the ticket barcode anywhere.
If you miss...
Hi guys. Awesome game today
The best way to tell if you got GF tickets is to check your credit card balance now and check regularly tomorrow. If will appear in your ticketek account later on. You will be able to tell what catagory of seats you have by the amount deducted. If your CC is debited...
Crap decision, but If you want to win the grand final you guys need to suck this up and say nothing. Clubs with distractions GF week never win premierships.
If Sunday gets 33k it will be the biggest VFA/VFL crowd since 1953 when Port defeated Yarraville in front of 40k @ MCG.
Won't beat all time record of 48k.
Is this the first time any of the old BIG 4 VFL club stars have made the VFL GF since the abolition of the AFL reserves 20 years ago?
Playing GWS presents a huge conundrum for you guys. If you win, there will be more demand for GF tickets than ever before, and you might have to pay $2K - $3K+. If you lose, there will be the lowest demand for a GF since 1991, and tickets might not even sell out (think about the 2010 GF replay)...
Sounds like you have a different membership structure to most other clubs. The only thing I ever look at when deciding what level of membership to get is access to GF tickets. Gold, Silver, Kennedy, Legend, does not matter where you sit or what they call it. Neither of our clubs really needs our...
Guys - be careful about giving out kids barcodes and tickets to others.
1. It will limit the ability of other members who might be P2 or P3 to get tickets
2. There may be a second round ballot if other team does not take up their allocation and you might decide to use them.
3. Security - you...
Not 3/4 time, but sometime during the last Q. I would watch @ Punt Road, wait till the siren, then bolt to the G. You could definitely make the presentations. They open the whole ground up for the post game concert so no problems getting in at some stage.
Competing clubs get a seperate allocation for sponsors.
Separately. If he gets a ticket sit him on your knee. Or squeeze up. People will understand. There will be spare seats around as a few people will stand. There will be massive good will amongst Tiger fans on GF day.
I remember in 2008...
Take up is usually around 50% of members - it is expensive and as there are no kids tickets lots of people will leave their kids at home rather than pay $300. Even if you assume the Tiges take up is 75% due to your GF drought, then there will still be around 9000 tickets for P2. At most Hawthorn...
Read the letter the club sent you. Not that hard buddy.
If not a ballot winner, there will be plenty of scalpers on here. Done via PMs. Expect to pay $400 - $800. Less for comcession.
Not going to work - too late to buy memberships. Buy a corporate package now if you can afford it. If Tigers don't make it you can sell it. If they do, the prices will double.
Hi Tiger fans. I have been through this process five times in the past 10 years. The rules are still the same to my knowledge. You should be thankful that there are 17,000 tickets which is the most since 1991. I have a big group of Hawks with different needs and membership levels so know the...
