Players who never seem to kick on

Jesse White is the big one for the Swans he had a brilliant first few games but then tapered off. Longmire is aware of his confidence issues though, if he were to pull it all together he would be THE full forward of the comp (he is never played in this position anymore, however when he does he...

Dear Mark Harvey and the rest of the AFL

You don't speak on behalf of the Fremantle football club. Infact, I don't think anyone would want you to speak on their behalf if you post like that.

How we can improve AFL: Cup Football

Offseason: Create a new leauge, all 18 teams BUT with no AFL listed players, instead the teams choose the best footballers from local clubs who want to play for said afl club kinda like the old days. Yes its obtuse, yes it would be costly but it would be great desperate football comparable to...

    New Freo Song

These songs would have sounded cliche in the 90s not to mention now...I don't think any of them truely capture the emotion of footy. On the plus side, at least none of them are dubstep. Now that would be horrible "We're *Wwwubwwwwub* FREE *WUBBB* OO *WUBWUB* *massive drop WUBBBBBB*...

Expansion AFL Vs Australian Football future

What about an eventual West indies style team? Draw the players from the whole of the south pacific into 1 club, excess players trickle onto other lists and if you situate the team base in the right spot you'd have a fair few aussies keen

AFL and AFLPA Negotiations Continue to Stall

I think the AFLPA is just trying to exercise their power and ego over the AFL, that's all it is, they want the AFL to meet their demands and by getting them it speaks "We're the most important part of this sport and don't forget it." and a slap to the face of Vlad and co

    2012 Predictions

I wouldn't say that, I'd say that the Tigers have more room to improve their peformance week in week out than Sydney (protip its because they lose more than the swans). But improvement list wise? I'd say they both have roughly the same amount of improvement left in them as eachother and it...

    Port Double-Cross Power Champions

Things like this just make me want to see port fail, the only likeable aspect of the club I’ve ever found to be was choco and now he’s gone to a better place there’s just no real redeeming qualities and then they go and try and pull this. Its digusting.

    GWS poor recruiting?

Yet GWS will still win a preimership before North Melborune do, regardless of their recruiting of veteran players. Crazy that.

AFL to spend big on struggling clubs footy departments.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/120527/default.aspx At least they're doing something but I feel this is more or less just treating the symptoms and not the cause. By the sound of it it won't be a continual investment, more so a one off thing to propr clubs up to the...

    Karmichael Hunt

Eh, I don't think he'll get droped unless its for fitness reasons, for the length of his current contract. Assuming that he signs another one next year, if he doesn't keep on improving then maybe he might find his position under siege by other players who are devloping faster than him.

The Decagon should replace the Oval as the shape for an Aussie Rules ground.

I think if you were to smooth out the angles into one smooth line and elongate it a bit to make sure its longer that it is wide but also to separate the shape of the field from a circle you might be onto something. Maybe.

By Career's End, Darren Jolly Will

I think he'll be remembered as an excellent ruckman in his own right but not in the very top echelon of ruckman AFL has seen.

I agree. Its pointless comparing them, they'll both become superstars of their positions and teams. Isn't that enough?

What is your team's "pass mark" ladder position in 2011?

I'd say a prelim final would be an excellent pass mark and not out of our reach if everyone firing and I'm not fussed where the Swans finish in the 8.
