Although this stat is probably not entirely true it still alarming non the less.

To me it speaks about the mental fragilty of the team (especially the senior players) and inability to cope with expectations.

We also beat the 15th placed pies last year to put them in the bottom 4.

Crows were in the 8 when we beat them, then they crashed.

Still it does showcase what people have witnessed. It’s that we can push the good teams but play our worst against the worse teams.

Hopefully Mitchell’s new gameplan can turn it around for us.

Man we've been bottom 4 late in the season the past few years in a row, bottom 5 last season because of a few late wins, what difference does it make? Playing ourselves would help.

Looking objectively at recent seasons, despite being top 4 in 2018, it's quite obvious the club already knew it had to focus on developing young players, the rate we've been developing them is decent and performances against the recent bottom 4 is not how we should measure ourselves, not to excuse all our mistakes.

These are the moments it was obvious guys were being forced to develop in the best 22, year of recruitment and total games that year is relatively unimportant, which is why circumstances like Nash playing 14 games in 2019 is omitted, these are more experiments

2016 - Tim O'Brien, James Sicily
2017 - Burton (traded for 25yo star), Howe
2018 - Morrison (sidelined once we traded for Chad/Scully next year, but clearly fasttracked) , Hardwick
2019 - Worpel, arguably Lewis
2020 - Scrimshaw, Day (unfortunate injuries aside it's obvious he always gets into the team whenever fit)
2021 - Moore, Jiath, arguably Koschitzke
2022 so far (too early to say) - Newcombe, probably a couple more mids by the end of the year.

Tough pill to swallow but the rebuild didn't even come close to starting this or last year and we have clearly been trying to develop what talent we have.
