Stanley is another player we let go, but as I am always told, he is just a hack, isn't he? He wouldn't get a game with us given the quality of our mid field.![]()
iirc He set up their match sealer too.

Surely there are better options. How they both play is a Joke. You are Carrying 1 too many players.
Blair in the Side has to be a Joke
What is funny is that we had them on the ropes while they were full strength...we just couldn't convert.
TO be fair, we went in with a game plan and it worked well in the first half. We totally stifled their run, and looked dangerous going forward.
The problem was that without White, Fasolo and Elliott, we had no one up forward to kick goals. We weren't getting our typical midfield input either which was a worry.
In the second half, they Suns copped an enormous amount of injuries but were able to get on top. This is concerning as our fitness is supposed to be pretty good.
Again in the last quarter we had opportunities which we failed to convert. Had Young grabbed that mark then we'd be all quite content and glad to have the game behind us. It was always a danger game.
There are major issues there...but I think it all comes down to getting more forwards who can kick goals. Elliott coming back already makes us a 3 goal better side...and I reckon Karnezis will add a bit of value as well.
Then we can look at guys like Broomhead and Kennedy close to goal as they have real class and pace about them. This replaces the likes of Grundy, Goldsack, Dwyer and Blair who just aren't offering enough on the scoreboard right now. I'd keep just Goldsack for defensive pressure and then go all out attack with the other 5 forwards. Elliott and Kennedy are great tacklers anyway...and Broomhead has a dip.
