Is what the odds are being offered by some bookmakers for an Australian win over Holland.
Don't know who it is though........so can't put any money down myself.:p

i'm tossing and turning as to whether i should throw my $10,000 on the aussies for the princely return of $5.

somehow... i think it's more trouble (and risk) than its worth. i mean, kenya can beat the west indies. only takes a couple of freak dismissals. 200-1 i'd put something on, perhaps even 500-1

If they were offering odds of 500-1 for an Aussie win I'd being putting every cent I had on it ;)

What about a washout or a No Result? Can that affect the odds? Cause their has been rain the pastr few days in South Africa.

I'd want better odds than 1-2000 to bet on the South African weather!

at 1-2000 I would be putting my money on the Clogs.

What they are saying is that if they play 2000 games in a row the the clogs won't win one of them.

There have probably not been 2000 games of ODI's played in history and yet there have been huge upsets in that time. Not unreasonable to expect one if they play that often.

unbelievably, south africa are still 2nd favourite to take out the tournament. don't results still have to go in their favour to even make the super 6 stage??

Bangladesh by the way are offering higher odds than Canada, Kenya and Holland, and equal odds to Namibia. why they are allowed to play test cricket i have no idea.

that was my thinking too.

BTW, there have been in the order of 1940 one day matches played (but im not sure if world cup matches are included in this sum)

ive been looking and i havent been able to find odds for this game anyway. with the online aussie bookmakers, you can't bet on that game until tomorrow, so they arent offering the odds as yet.

besides, holland has a more than 1-2000 chance of winning by default i reckon. an illegal action by some player. a team death threat causes the aussies to forfeit etc..
