I think he'll benefit greatly from playing in a game where the threat of the red vest isn't hanging over his head like the sword of Damocles. It wouldn't be easy knowing you're the first option to be off the field if the team wasn't going great

So happy to hear Maj has been selected, I hope he is given a fair shot now to prove his case, 3 or 4 games on the trot would be nice, will be very interesting to see the role he plays, fingers crossed Fridge mkII.

Wishing Maj all the best. I too hope he really puts on a display which, at the very least, has list management raising eyebrows in a positive way, just as his first half in round 23 did last season. Can't wait to see the reigning AFL Grand Final Sprint champion hit the field unencumbered by a court case and looming red vest.

Go get 'em Maj! :thumbsu:

I'm just happy for naturally north

LOL- I recieved a text yesterday stating "you're going to be happy with selection".

And I am, reckon we might see some mid field time, ruck work especially around the ground to combat the 'third up' and of course a marking option up forward.

This of course is opinion only :P

Fair enough. He needed something to go his way in life for once. It's good to see a battler get his moment in the sun. Kind of like Ratso in Midnight Cowboy getting a brief glimpse Miami before succumbing to illness on the bus.

Daw will be playing the Blicavs role tomorrow. Good to see the coach trialling this sort of initiative in a virtual practice match.

Yeah well said.

Admittedly I think he has too many weaknesses at AFL level (like BMac), but in saying that it seems a definite win-win this week with his selection.

Another opportunity for Majak to show his worth, it rewards his VFL form and if he doesn't deliver he at least gets further experience....but if does, which I hope he can for him and the club, it puts extra heat on those who's spot he is gunning for and stake his claim for a more permanent spot in future :thumbsu:

Started slowly, worked himself into it and did just about everything well, and then slowed down in a huge way (but he wasn't alone in that respect). What could have been a good solid game turned in to a mixed game for Daw, but even so he was better than Brown and Petrie today.

Yep and brown and petrie have proven themselves time and time again. 5 mins of greatness from daw the rest putrid

Maj did well for a guy with 17 games under his belt. We'll never play serious with Majak, Waite, Petrie, Brown and Wood. Out of that lot Majak would be last picked every week.

what it showed today was he's worth persevering with. I think in time Brown and Daw will work well together.
