He didn't appear injured early on, prior to colliding with Tippett's knee with his own knee in the second qtr, from memory. That suggests PCL damage. Hope not.

so why was his knee strapped from the first bounce?

The ice was on his right knee, strapping was on his left.
The fact you're implying you know more about a player's fitness than the club medical staff and the player himself is quite startlingso he was fit, if you say so.

I would never question or doubt the professionalism of the club's coaching and medical staff when it comes to a player's fitness pre-game. I think you were out of line in doing so, as unless you've spoken to Goldstein himself and he's said "they forced me to play when I wasn't right," you would have absolutely no idea on the matter. From now on every time you share an opinion they may vary from the party line, you wont need to remind me to post this post right back at you buddy.
Players take the field at less than 100% all the time. The fact you're implying you know more about a player's fitness than the club medical staff and the player himself is quite startling
Not disputing that, but rather taking exception with the fact Rooboy96 labelled it a "disgrace that we made Goldie play injured" in a post above. This is fairly insulting toward our medical staff and Goldstein himself for putting the hand up.Players take the field at less than 100% all the time.
I thought it was pretty obvious this was the case with Goldy last night.

At the expense of who? Petrie perhaps deserves a spell, but I think bringing Wood in would give our forward line a change in dynamic. Its TIME for an extended run regardless. His form is not far off the others and he deserves his chance. No more to be said, the thread is doing laps.

I think Petrie needs a couple of weeks with the Bees to get his confidence up. Wood in just gives our forward line a greater deal of versatility. Mason can play high or deep In the unlikely event that Goldstein goes down and misses a significant chunk of the match, then Brown and Waite would share the ruck duties.you may be right, but who are you bringing Wood in for? Petrie? and can Wood play ruck cause if you take Drew out for Wood and Goldie goes down, who is looking after the ruck for the remainder of the game, Brown and ??? fingers cross that doesn't happen in an important game.

i wanna see the dont argue on morris MK2If he is even close to injured, rest him. Daw will smoke Richmond
Just play Maj.
Goldy and Drew don't look 100%. Give them a spell.
I do think Daw is ready to give Goldie a rest tho. This is exactly what we've been grooming him for. Anyone who thinks he cant hold his own in the ruck needs to get to the 2's more often.Hey I know Daw is something special, but do you really think he can cover for both Drew and Goldie?
